New owners told the staff they'd be open for the whole summer tourist season, then suddenly announced closure mid July. Pulling the rug on long serving employees and seasonal hires (who are all awesome) is a bad look, since they need the busy summer to survive the winter or pay tuition. Boar's Head has been a friendly and comfortable place for locals and tourists for my entire lifetime. Whatever the new version will be may be fine two years from now, but this new ownership has damaged their reputation right out of the gate.

Best pub in town. I've been to every pub in town. Nothing comes close. The servers are a beauty. Super welcoming and a great time. Von is the best server I've had in years. You're all missing out if yoi skip this place!

A great classic pub that offer a wide selection of beer and great food. Come watch the game and enjoy a great boar burger or wings!
Fun pub with live music. Went for game 6 of Stanley cup. Lots of fans cheering for the oilers and singing together with the musician.

Everything was great except the other patrons. They were so loud and obnoxious. Our waiter even said when we paid that he didn't think we were going to like being near those regulars... there was no hostess to seat us so we just picked a spot but if you have a rowdy crew that comes in on Saturday nights and takes up the dart room maybe start off the conversation instead of "can I get you guys drinks?" Be like "Hey how about we move you guys to this other table over here?"
The server was horrible. The food was worse. I've been before with one other person in our group, and we both agreed Boar's Head has gone downhill and not worth the stop.
