My daughter made made reservations for 5:15 Earlier in the afternoon we dropped into the restaurant to see if we had made a good choice. It was a windy, rainy cold day. The staff found our reservations. The dining room was a very quaint setting and we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we discovered that we would be sitting at the bar. I felt as if the staff could have been a bit more forthcoming and said we would be sitting at the bar. It might not have been as disappointing if we had known ahead of time.
The maître de came across as ambivalent to the situation. My daughter pointed out to me. What do you expect him to do dad? And that’s a valid question.
We sat at the bar and the French onion soup we had was delicious. My daughter had the hamburger platter and she found it to be exceptional. One thing about the french fries that came with the platter was they were hot. The burger was very tasty.
They didn’t charge my daughter for her hamburger platter, which was very kind of them.

We were seated immediately. Our server was so friendly and kind and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Totally unexpected how much we would enjoy this restaurant. I will go back!

We tried the brunch menu today and it was a total disappointment. The burger was a total shame and the avocado salmon on sourdough was somewhat ok, but not to the standard of their regular menu. We shall not return here for brunch for sure.

We stopped in on a Saturday night with no reservation at around 7pm. We were met at the front by a pleasant guy who asked if we were trying to make the theatre which we were not. The room was quite full but he said he would clear a table for 2 and we could be seated in minutes. Our server was friendly and went over the menu, & took our drink orders to give us a chance to decide on food. The atmosphere was bright & airy feeling and the room was buzzing and alive with cute swan statues on the walls. I had a French 75 which was delicious to sip on. We ordered bread, olives, steak tartare for apps to share and were not disappointed. The olives were warmed as well as the bread and the tartare had an over easy egg on top. Portions were generous. My husband ordered a burger with fries and enjoyed it very much. I decided on the carrot salad because I was quite full after the apps and delicious bread. It was a generous portion mixed with almonds, parsley, chickpeas and raisins with a lemon ginger dressing with a touch of tumeric - very refreshing and just what I needed. We were too full for dessert though there was a chocolate cake that was tempting. All in all, it was a great spot with good service & a meal that was just right in a pleasant atmosphere.

Fantastic plates and a beautiful restaurant. Definitely recommend making a reservation as they are almost always fully booked. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. We got the black kale salad, Greek goddess yogurt, chicken main and the creame brule. All delicious and the waiting staff was very good.
We had a wonderful experience today at this restaurant service was fantastic. A special shout to Karly who took care of moving us to a different table and adjusting the air condition. Airflow to ensure we were comfortable… Exceptional client service please ensure she is recognized amongst the team!

I’d call CafeBouffon a 3.5 based on our brunch today.
It’s a nice vibe and we had very pleasant service during the busy Sunday brunch rush.
The food is good but not great. I would recommend the kitchen take a few extra seconds for presentation. My mushroom crepe was one crepe and nothing else on the dinner sized plate. My daughter enjoyed her eggs benny.
We ordered dirty chai lattes and there was not a hint of chai in them. I am not even sure there was a hint of latte. I did not say anything (because it was busy), but when I saw we paid 9$ each, I wished that I had.

Good food, poor service. Our server was inattentive. She didn’t check on us to check on the food or drinks. We had to ask for water and she forgot. When she did bring it after being reminded, she spilled it on the table while pouring. No apology and didn’t wipe it up. Not sure if we’ll return. The food was quite good, but I can’t abide poor service. We had gone for lunch and spent $150 for two people. It was a weekday and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I definitely expect better.
