Stopped in for lunch before attending a play at the Avon Theatre. Food, ambiance and service was five stars. Will definitely be b@ck
Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. All of our orders came out wrong, and we had to wait quite a while before finally getting the server’s attention—despite waving several times to another server and she just completely ignored us, prioritizing bussing and setting up tables on what was a quiet Monday night.
We ordered three Foster’s Steak Classic meals, but instead received three Steak & Frites. While the server eventually corrected the missing sides, she cleared our plates so quickly that it felt like we were being rushed out. We had planned to order dessert, but instead were just offered the bill.
As we were leaving, we couldn’t help but notice how differently we were treated compared to other guests—staff were warm and friendly to the Caucasian tables, but cold and dismissive towards us. Sadly, the whole experience left us feeling unwelcome.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in Canada. We felt discriminated against and rushed out. Our order was wrong, and even after waiting a long time, the server only reluctantly corrected it. At the end, staff pushed the bill on us right away while other tables were not treated the same. When leaving, they greeted others warmly but completely ignored us — no eye contact, nothing. On my birthday, this was especially upsetting. Absolutely not recommended.
Didn't stay here. Only had a very good lunchtime meal here.
It was the most amazing surprise, very friendly, great food, just steps away from the theater. Just be mindful of parking situation.
Location is the best, across from the Avon theater, near many restaurants. There is a superior cafe across the street.
Room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. Very clean. However, we could hear every step from room above. The refrigerator was placed in the path to bath which could be hazardous in the dark.
Parking is inconvenient, 2 blocks away.
It is odd cutting through the bar to get to elevator.
Stopped for brunch. 5 ladies each had a different tasty option. Very accommodating.
We went there for lunch. The food and drinks were great. Friendly and attentive staff. Convenient and well located, just steps away from the Avon Theatre. Highly recommend it!
We ate at the restaurant and celebrated a birthday. It was a very busy night but the food was delicious and we had a good server!
Food was good, service was okay, a little busy for the staff.

We visited the city few weeks ago and we stopped ay Foster' Inn for breakfast only. Such a nice place. Food was amazing. I recommend.
Wife and I went out for a six year wedding anniversary. Decided on Fosters as the menu to look very good. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which were absolutely amazing. A 10 out of 10 I got the burger which was fairly disappointing, considering the price it was extremely dry. That aside my wife’s who totally made up for it and the piña colada coconut cake was a 12 out of 10 overall experience with great service minus the burger was fantastic.
Restaurant: We had lunch at Fosters and we were quite disappointed. Chicken and bacon wrap absolutely mediocre! Bacon burnt to a crisp, chicken dry and salad dressing tasted odd….
The solicitous manager gave us a huge $5.00 discount on a $19.00 order! Wow! The waitress was nice.
We stayed at one of their hotel rooms. While the room was really clean, it’s a little outdated and the mattress is need of a change as when we got into the bed it sinks in. Other than that, the location is really good and the staff are quite friendly.
Enjoy coming for breakfast here often. Staff are great and food is phenomenal
