Had supper and our meal was amazing! Alicia was our waitress and was over the top. Best service and food I have had in a long time. Chef quality of food unbelievable! Will definitely take the drive back to this gem of a restaurant. Worth the drive on this stormy nightđ
I usually have a great experience here. We came on wing night and ordered wings. But they were dry.
Although not my type of menu, you can find something to eat! The pickled onions and carrots were perfect and the drinks were great. Our Server was extreamly friendly and professional.
Had a wonderful dinner. Alicia was such a great server. Very knowledgeable and kind and attentive.
Tried the Ramen special - a giant bowl of delicious broth with fresh, perfectly served toppings. Perfect for a chilly winter night - highly recommend! Only on Tuesdayâs đ
We stopped by on New Yearâs Eve without a reservation, so we were seated at the bar, which was expected given how busy it was.
The atmosphere was still cozy and festive â a beautifully decorated space with a Christmas tree and holiday details that made it nice to spend New Yearâs there.
The cocktails were okay but nothing special â not very strong and overall quite average.
Service was friendly and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience.
We didnât end up ordering food, as the menu felt a bit all over the place, mixing Asian, Vietnamese, and other cuisines, which made it hard to choose.
Overall, a pleasant spot for the atmosphere and service, especially during the holidays, but cocktails could be more memorable.
Great eats in the heart of Stratford. Delicious Japanese and fusion dishes were all really good. We started with the Venison tataki and butter squash ravioli - destroyed! Then finished with the crispy chicken rice bowl and bentonvox, portions are generous and flavours are there. Worth the trip while visiting the area. We'd probably pass on the kids menu next time and jus opt for an app or shareable for kids, you get better food and better value. Oh and it's a massive bar with tons of drinks.
Ordered here thru Uber. It was very tasteless food and a rip off. Siu Mai cost $14 for 4 tiny pieces (as an example). Plus you have to pay for $1 for each takeout container AND $16 extra on Uber for non-government taxes of course, AND also a tip for the driver on top of the service fee for using Uber! Stratford is severely lacking on quality places for takeaway food. This kitchen advertised korean food but the chicken wings were equivalent to a box of Janes wings from Food Basics, and that only cost $6.98 on sale (not $20). I asked for Korean bbq on my wings but it definitely was the typical Janes flavour from the box. They are definitely buying cheap stuff and charging you as though it's luxurious. I could not help but laugh at what I received. $90 in total for 4 small containers of i don't know what to be honest. The Karaage is supposed to be chicken bits but smelled and tasted like fish bits!! Sometimes i like to treat myself and eat out. I will NEVER order here again. Save your money folks! We all work hard and pay 50% tax in this country, this is NOT what we should be getting in return. Restaurants cry all the time about people not coming out to support them, yet when we do this is the horrible experience we have. If ya'll go out of business, don't blame customers, look at what you are serving customers!! Not sure what other people are raving about because i need to find a way to get this food out of my stomach now. Awful.
This is a very cozy, well furnished hotel with a GREAT restaurant attached to it. So nice to be able to go directly from your room to the restaurant and back without even stepping outdoors. Very friendly staff and excellent food.
I had high hopes for Mercer Kitchen in Stratford after hearing so many great things, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the lacklustre service set the tone - despite the restaurant being quite empty, our server made no real effort to engage or provide attentive service.
As for the food, it was a major letdown. The flavours were unpleasantly bitter, and everything seemed heavily saturated with deep fry oil, leaving it greasy and unappetizing. The quality just didnât match the hype, and we left feeling unsatisfied and regretful of the visit. Definitely not the experience we were excited for.
I rarely leave reviews, but I was compelled to share our disappointment. Iâm not looking for an apology from the owner; I simply hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve the overall dining experience. Sadly, I canât recommend Mercer Kitchen based on our visit.

Went here for my birthday lunch and left disappointed. The maki roll practically could have done a back stroke with the amount of fryer oil on the plate.. the pork belly bao was uneatable due to the collard greens being the most bitter thing I have ever eaten along with the âpork bellyâ being nothing but chunks of gelatine. And last but not least the burger was below average, zero seasoning on it. $80 lunch by the way. Wonât be back!
Service was also awful, server had a rude ego to her.
havenât encountered such rude and disrespectful service in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we asked if it was possible to move to a more comfortable table in an almost empty restaurant, she simply ignored us and continued with what she was doing. When we decided to leave, she continued to ignore us completely â not a single word or glance. It was a very unpleasant experience that really spoiled what could have been an enjoyable evening.
We were in Stratford for our 40th wedding anniversary, to catch some plays, take in the sights, and sample food. This restaurant did not disappoint. We went on a busy evening pre theatre time and the restaurant was bustling. We worried we would not have enough time it was so busy but the service and kitchen were so efficient. We never felt rushed, the service was excellent and the food did not disappoint. We had the Mijikai Maki to start, it was really good. Fish was nice and cool in the centre and the outside was nice and crispy. It was a large roll so perfect to share. I had the Bento box which was equally good, well portioned and presented. My husband had the Buttermilk Fried chicken and he loved it. Really crispy, yet the chicken inside was nice and moist. There were many things on the menu that I found appealing, so next time in Stratford we will be back.
No elevator, if you care.
Wow Terrible Nachos. Corn chips were stale and presentation was poor for the price.
Thai noodles was a disaster. We asked for no protein and without asking us added extra veggies. Was so hard to reach the noodles. Such poor presentation . You can see the pile of veggies that were removed. Fries came burnt. Sent them back.
