First time in, on recommendation from a Stratford local. I ordered my usual coffee drink: americano, with just a hint of vanilla (1 pump or so)."We don't put vanilla in our americanos"Not because they don't have it - they do. I was told this was a "business decision". Rather brusquely told - this was not a decision they were willing to broker any discussion over. I got a better explanation from the barista: they want people to enjoy their superior americanos (not her words, but that's the sentiment).We ordered drinks anyway, not wanting to make too big of a fuss. But my partner and I both had to agree not to keep spinning on such a weirdly confrontational interaction. We went to Livery after and when I ordered my drink the answer: "Absolutely!"That, to me, is the better business decision. Make people their coffee the way THEY like it, not the way YOU want them to like it. I'll make my own business decision and (a) never go to Revel again, (b) leave this scathing review and (c) tell everyone this ridiculous story when it comes up. Which it likely will, as this was one of my first interactions as a new Stratford resident. A shame it was with such a petty coffee shop.

The coffee was good. However my interaction with the barista who was arrogant aloof, and she choose not to listen to my order request. Instead suggesting that she would do it “her” way”
Stopped in on our way out of town, they make a killer cup of coffee and even better croissants, but it comes at a price. Not sure if this is just tourist town pricing or not but two cups off coffee, a ham and cheese croissant and cheese scone ran us $30.Staff was a bit short, didn’t want us looking at their pastries while they made the coffee. Odd, but ok.Let me reiterate. They make a great cup of coffee and you really need to try one of their croissants.

Revel is very conveniently located on Stratford's Market Square. The ambience is very agreeable, the service is competent and friendly, and the coffee and baked goods are excellent. Recommended!

A surprisingly unwelcoming attitude. A long wait for order completion. Reminded me of a Seinfeld episode about soup. Make sure you get in the correct line (not necessarily where the sign reads 'order here'). Ask the correct server about your beverage or your food or get sent to the other line. It makes a poor start to the day. I could give zero for service because of the friend-less-ness but for one exception from a young server. Not recommended for those with social anxiety or other differences. This was my 5th visit within 12 months. No revelry here.
