Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House, Stratford

First time to the McPhillips Street location. Great food, excellent service. Large portions and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend.

THE WORST BREAKFAST IN MY 65YR LIFE....IT STARTED BY RECEIVING SAUSAGE INSTEAD OF BACON (WISH I KEPT THE SAUSAGE), THE BACON WAS THE FLATTEST BACON EVER, ZERO CRISP, AND ZERO FLAVOUR!!! EGGS OVER MEDIUM WERE NOT EVEN FLIPPED, AND HASH BROWN POTATOES WHICH I ORDERED WELL DONE, WERE BARELY COOKED, DRY, AND TASTELESS...THEY TOOK THEM BACK TO RECOOK, STILL NOT WELL DONE LIKE I ORDERED.......P.S. I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS, BUT THIS ONE DESERVED IT!!!!👎

We have visited twice so far and they don't disappoint. the portions are generous and delicious. The staff are friendly and attentive. They pay attention to details. Even during busy times the wait for food is quick.

Went there with 3 friends at 12 noon on a Sunday with no reservations. Place was packed but they said about a 15-20 minute wait. They were pretty true to their word. Waitress was quick to approach us (sorry I didn't get her name). Ordered our food and did not wait long at all for our food to be ready. Food was phenomenal! Each of us ordered different things and there was not one complaint. Highly recommend.

Now the Staff were friendly and very helpful. But I'm sure you want to hear about the food and service over all. We got seated right away but had to wait 30 minutes for the food. Waitress was helpful regarding my allergies and what I could eat. But most like food served from chain resturants not myself as it depends on the individual resturant. Their bacon, eggs and hashbrowns tasted very sweet. Its like someone infused sugar into the bacon and eggs plus the homefries. Too sweet for me and very greasy, running with grease. We had gone before and the food was ok then. But we won't return after this time.

We were from Brantford originally and have visited Stacked there. Very good. Now living in Stratford and told the owner is the same. Delightful news! We know him to be an honest man. Our view of this place is the food is good but the layout of the restaurant isn’t. We found ourselves secluded from other eaters. Half the fun of breakfast is meeting others or being around other familiar patrons. There are other breakfast establishments in town that are all open with tables close together. We have met many nice people. We did happen to talk to an elderly man that came and sat with us at the open place above and he mentioned that he had visited Stacked in Stratford and didn’t like it because he was put in a back corner by himself and saw no one . This gentleman also likes to go to breakfast to be among others rather than eating alone at home.
Another point is that the only windows at the front were dirty.
Open it up, clean the windows and have a chatty, cheerie , knows everyone waitress or greeter. In Brant county the owner of a popular diner called Gemini’s which is now gone due to unforeseen circumstances, was extremely popular because the owner was just that . You felt welcome and that you belonged and that you mattered.

Parking: Went back after first review. Great atmosphere, friendly service , best sausage and overall breakfasts, better than any other breakfast we’ve had in Stratford and we have tried them all. Great coffee, very clean !! Free parking and lots if it. Highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely go back.

My fiancee and I tried to reserve a table for the next day at 9am and was told "a reservation wasn't necessary for that time of day." We arrive at 9am and walk into a 20 min wait before being seated. The staff doesn't appear to do well under pressure. We're seated in the center of the busiest spot in the place, next to a crying child. I motion to one of the staff to inquire about a less exposed spot (of which there were several open), and he proceeds to, instead of seeing what we want, talks to two other members of hos staff as to who is going to go over to us to see what we want. We promptly left. Customer service is paramount, and our money won't be spent in places like these.

We were delighted to try this location. We had Spinach Florentine Crepes and the Pancake Stack. Delicious!! Very spacious and clean location. Thanks to our server Krishna and staff for their hard work.

It is now our go to breakfast place, in Stratford. Friendly staff dont mind dealing with a pesky onion allergy. Keep up the awesome service!

Food was fair, service not so good, was there roughly 1/2 hour, and was never asked for a coffee refill,walked by many times with the pot.
