The HUB Stratford & Rooftop Patio

I tried to eat here with a friend. Entire bottom floor and front patio was completely empty and almost looked closed.When we found our way upstairs we waiting 5 mins before someone acknowledged us to seat us. We sat outside on a nice sunny day. Patio was okay, but there were so many wasps. Every other table had a cup overflowing with them and everyone had a napkin covering their drinks.After waiting 15 minutes without anyone taking drink orders we left. The servers were clearly overwhelmed with only 2 or 3 people on staff for dinner (Hire more people!!!) We saw no food come out to anyone else in the 20 minutes we were there.This place has potential, but currently I can't recommend it. Try one of the many other fine dinning establishments a short walk away.

Arrived here on a Saturday evening at approximately 6pm. We did not have a reservation, and were only offered seating outdoors while it was raining off and on. There were open high top tables indoors that we requested, however they were reserved. We opted to sit at the bar, and ordered a cocktail. The cocktail was botched (Manhattan), told when delivered they were out of cherries. Ok, no biggie... Ordered an app, live music was setting up. He asked for a fly swatter as there were wasps, the server responded with "yes, they've been a problem this year" to which the performer replied "yes, I can see all the dead ones in the window" We had our app which was good. Beyond this we were left without interaction from staff for an extended period of time. Turns to be approx 6:45, I ask for another drink, and they are out. My spouse went to the restroom, at which point our server asked if we were ready to order dinner. Looking around, most of the tables are now empty, including the tables we initially requested to have. Frustrating for the lack of quality service. We opted for our bill. Paid and left. Service quality and knowledge was poor, bar tender was inexperienced and seemed to lack assistance. Hopefully there is room for a turnaround.Best of luck.

My fiancé and I were in Stratford during the labour day long weekend and we went to the hub for a few drinks and a late night snack. We loved the Hub the roof top patio was awesome there was a live band playing which was awesome we shared truffle fries and had some drinks and enjoyed the music and the atmosphere and the service was awesome definitely coming back the next time we're in Stratford. Maybe go for lunch or dinner because the menu looked so good.

Had dinner with the family while we were visiting Stratford. Didn't know what to expect because it was kind of dark inside and it had a sport bar vibe but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I ordered a Tuna Sushi bowl which was pretty good. Rest of the family had burgers and BBQ platter and they were all happy with the food as well.

The juiciest burguer I have ever had. The fries could be a little better but overall the service and quality of the food are really good! Restrooms need a bit cleaning throughout the day but overall a very good experience! The wings are reaaaaaally good but I wish they also offered a non-breaded ones.

We had 10 people and were lucky enough to grab a table one the roof. Food was absolutely delicious and great portions. Some other restaurants we went to had smaller portions for about the same price maybe more. They have a wonderful beer and wine selection. Will definitely be coming back next time I am in Stratford.

Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options however I do not know how many. I only know they have a black bean burger patty that you can sub out for any of the other burgers.

Wheelchair accessibility: You can either be on the ground floor or there is an elevator to take you to the roof.

Saturday evening dinner. My reservation did not register but there was room for us. Fun roof top patio. There was live music so a bit loud and hard to talk. But the music was great and the food was enjoyable.

Let me start by saying I have been here a couple of times. My previous experiences were such that I insisted we go again. Yes... I thought it was that good! However, after our lunch experience today, I can safely say I will never go back! We got there at 12:15 and were not served food until 1:30! Ok. I understand that they were short staffed (that's the story they gave me anyway) but that doesn't explain why other people were seated after us, served food and drinks, paid and gone while we waited, and waited, and waited. I am not even go into the fact that I almost crashed while we waited as my sugars had become very low. Thankfully, the people at the table next to us sensed what was going on and helped; they gave me their Ginger ale to stop me from passing out! I will give them 10 stars! But not the Hub. I won't be coming back. The worst part? When we finally got our food, it wasn't right and was cooked incorrectly but we ate it anyway. What was I gonna do? Wait another hour? Thanks but no thanks! Never again...

Way too long of a wait for not very good, small portion food. Service wasn't much better. She didn't seem to care that we were getting upset that our food was not ready for over 45 minutes. Waited half hour after our drinks came before she even took our food order.First time we were there during covid it was good. Went back a second time and that'll be the last. Been there, done that, not going back. Saw others there unhappy and actually sending food back. I didn't send mine back, just didn't eat it and brought it home for my teens to eat.

Got a table on the rooftop patio. Not much of a view. However, it's nice outside in great weather. Loved the high table & comfy matching chairs.Service was prompt, friendly & accurate.Ordered drinks & nachos. Regular size serving is huge! It ended up being our whole meal. (Picture was taken after we started eating it) They were delicious & the drinks were equally good.

Tuesday after a long weekend. Of their "30 beers" they only had major brands on tap (neither of the two local micros were represented which was disappointing for a restaurant that fashions itself a beer hall). Burgers were good. Sweet potato fries were excellent. Truffle fries were not worth the extra expense. Cod fish and chips were fairly standard.

Kid-friendliness: Standard kids menu, was slow when we were there and kids running around didn't seem to bother anyone.

The waitress we had was friendly, funny, and kept busy. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name. The food was fabulous. I had the burger. It was juicy and full of flavour. I requested sauteed onions and mayo . Mmmmm gooodl

On Canada Day 2023. We went to this restaurant for late lunch and I could not believe that there are still restaurants with waitresses who have attitude towards some customers including us. Not only bad attitude but also they continuously made mistakes too, the food was not good and there was no cutlery for at least a good 15 minutes. there were other customers who had misbehavior at their table which irritated us (I wish there was a policy in place for such behaviors), I probably would prefer to eliminate Stratford from my future list of fun or if I must go I would take my own food.

Food wasn't expensive but some of the best poutine I've ever had. One of the cleanest restaurants I've been to with a very clean washroom. The customer service was lovely and atmosphere was very cozy inside and a nice rooftop patio. Cant recommended enough if you ate in the area. Also pretty sure the name is a that 70s show reference which I love!
