We had reservations for The Starlight after our show last night. The food was delicious and different. It wasn't loud, so we were still able to talk. The live music was very enjoyable. Staff were helpful and professional. We would definitely return and highly recommend.

The food was pretty good but definitely on the pricey side, I got a fairly large burger that cost $22 without fries or any sides, fries were an additional $10. This rubbed me the wrong way and felt like a way of gouging an additional sale out of one of the oldest staples of food history; a burger and fries. The food was good however based on the prices I won’t be back

Came here with my bf for brunch, I got the waffle sandwich and he got the eggs hollandia. They were both great! I really loved the side of greens that came with my waffle sandwich it complimented it very well. Also we got drinks, cereal killer and the fresh mimosa which was guava flavored. I loved the cereal killer! Service was also super great and everyone was very friendly.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at Starlight after taking in a play at the Stratford Festival. The restaurant has a warm and comfortable decor, the service was very attentive and the cocktails and food were simply beyond our expectations. Highly recommended are the Shrimp and Grits and the Quattro Formaggio Ravioli. Outstanding.

The Starlight Restaurant was a wonderful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary dinner after a matinée show at the Avon Theatre. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly and wished a happy anniversary before being lead to our table by the window. Our server arriver with complementary Prosecco and again congratulated us on our anniversary. The food was creative, fresh and delicious. Our server was professional, personable and checked in with us just the right number of times. The atmosphere reminded me of my childhood diner days but with a much more upscale menu and way better food. Their bar has a great variety of drinks and they know their stuff. We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area. Thank you Starlight staff for a memorable anniversary meal.

The atmosphere was lovely and the service was attentive, and the live jazz was great. Unfortunately, the food is a different story. It took nearly an hour for our meals to arrive, and when they did, the burger was very underwhelming. At $22, it didn't even come with fries, which feels pretty ridiculous. Fries were another $10 and came with only a small amount of dip that barely covered a few of them. The ravioli was a very small portion, served lukewarm, and tasted underseasoned. It is a shame, because the place has such a great vibe, but the food feels overpriced and disappointing for what you get.

I dont understand how this place has such good reviews. Has to be bots or paid. I liked the atmosphere, however, was far too crowded with the way the seating is set up. Half way through my meal, a couple girls came in and were sat beside us, and we were practically touching elbows. It also took pretty much 45 minutrs to get our food... and the food, wow, hands down some of the most overpriced and mediocre food I've ever had. $22 dollars for a burger that had less quality than McDonalds, didnt come with fries or side (was another $10 for those, and were just literally frozen fries from a grocery store). Drinks were also $4 for half a can worth of pop. I just dont get it. Is it because smaller towns have less competition so mediocre is accepted and praised? I would never go back.

What a wonderful spot for Sunday brunch.
The egg hollandia and the hot waffle sandwich were both delectable. You must also order the side of seasoned tots. You think you will share it but you probably won’t want to!
The service was superb. We were warmly welcomed and we appreciated the topping up of our coffees. What a way to spend a Sunday morning.
We will definitely return for another visit!

This is my first time visiting Stratford, ON and I just knew I had to take my friend to The Starlight. We came for the really lovely, smooth live jazz and I just fell in love with the warm atmosphere. A total delight to all senses. Seriously. We shared a lot of dishes including their fresh bread of day. What really stood out was their Halloumi starter with local cheese and honey and peaches. Absolutely steller. Their ceasar salad was also great to share which big pieces of bacon. Definitely give their house ice tea a try as well. I only wish we had room for dessert. Great, friendly service 💗

My annual mother-daughter tradition of dinner and a show led us to Starlight, a relatively new addition to the local dining scene. The food itself was very good. My mother enjoyed her grits and shrimp, and I was equally impressed with the ribs and coleslaw. We quickly realized that the restaurant's concept focuses on small, shareable plates rather than traditional entrées with included sides. A couple at a nearby table also expressed surprise that their burger and fish dishes did not come with a side, reinforcing that this is a key aspect of the dining experience that might be unexpected for first-time visitors.
Dessert options were limited to mainly sundaes and a peach pie, and we were disappointed to find the pie was unavailable. We chose the churro sundae instead, but it was a miss for us both, as I'm not a fan of soft-serve ice cream.
The service was prompt and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. The only notable drawback was the moment of payment, when the server stood uncomfortably close, which felt a little intimidating and put a damper on an otherwise pleasant interaction.
Overall, the food was delicious, though the menu was a bit limited. Diners should be aware of the small-plates concept. I would go back for a simple but tasty meal, but would opt for dessert elsewhere.
