Overpriced restaurant and dish quality is low. Came here for pizza twice and the bottom was burnt. Staff rude. When my family pointed out they said that is how they make pizza. Better off getting pizza somewhere else in town and paying less.

I do not recommend

Celebrated my 50th birthday, in a nice quiet room away from other guests. Food was amazing! Service excellent. Thank you for accommodating us!

I’ve been to Verdicchio Ristorante several times for work dinners and the experience has always been excellent.

The food is amazing — fresh, well prepared, and full of flavour. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into the dishes and the quality of ingredients. Every time we’ve gone, the meals have been consistently delicious.

The atmosphere is perfect for business dinners or special occasions — relaxed, welcoming, and professional — and the service has always been attentive.

If you’re looking for a great spot in Sudbury for a nice dinner, Verdicchio is definitely worth visiting.

Mario was the best waiter. Very on the ball and caring for his customers. I couldn't have asked for a better server. Mario is an A+ employee. 👌🏻

I'll start off by saying that the service here was pretty good. Old school Italian waiter that was very fast-paced.
Food was okay, we had the set menu. Theme was black truffles however the dishes didn't take well to the beautiful ingredient and they seemed to just be shaved ontop of each dish instead of being thoughtfully incorporated.
The restaurant itself was nice and I appreciated the decor.

This evening, my girlfriend surprised me with an evening at Verdicchio for my birthday. It was our first time here, and it will probably be our last, unfortunately. We had a reservation for 7 pm, and we arrived around 6:45 pm It was awesome that they were able to seat us early. Once we sat down, we looked over the delicious-looking menu. Everything seemed so delicious. We ordered the Foccacia con fichi and the insalata di cesare. Along with this, we each ordered the Panccheri al mare. We placed our order at 6:55 pm. We then received bread immediately with these oils and vinegars, which was delicious. Now here’s the issue we had. We didn’t receive our appetizer until 7:30, and our main meal until about 7:55. In the hour-ish that we waited for food, we were approached by our server once, who said that the food was gonna be right out, but we waited and waited. While we sat down, a couple who were sitting next to us arrived about 10 minutes after we did. They got their food and dessert and had their bill before we were served our meal. It was very weird what was happening. All this to say, some communication would have been nice, because I don’t think it’s normal to wait that long for food. The food we received was delicious, but then again, for what we received, it was not worth the wait at all, and the portion was small. All in all, this whole evening, which was supposed to be a celebratory, fun, enjoyable experience, became a really meh experience :(

I recently dined at Verdicchio’s and was seated in the wine room, which offered a very private and intimate setting with a lovely ambiance. Do note, however, that it can be a little chilly, so dressing accordingly is recommended.

Our group started with a bottle of red wine and a variety of cocktails, followed by appetizers including the Insalata Stagionata, Caesar salad, charcuterie board, and Carpaccio di Manzo. All were beautifully presented and full of flavor.

For mains, we ordered the Gnocchi al Pomodoro, Risotto con Carciofi, Agnello Scottaditto, and Filetto di Manzo. Each dish was delicious and well-prepared, though portion sizes felt on the smaller side given the price point. That said, the plating and presentation were top notch and clearly well thought out.

To finish, we shared the panna cotta and Nonna’s Cake both were standout desserts that impressed the table.

As always, the service at Verdicchio’s was excellent, attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is spotless with an elegant yet welcoming vibe, making it a great choice for both special occasions and casual fine dining

Verdicchio used to be a “go to” place for us for a fine dining night. We still enjoy the food but the atmosphere inside is more open, loud and modern than it used to be. I booked a reservation months in advance for our 20th anniversary in the small Private wine cellar room and only when we arrived were told that it wasn’t available and given a free dessert instead. That room was the ambience we wanted and where we had our 10th anniversary dinner. Service wise, I should absolutely have received a phone call that the room was not available rather than ensuring my business still went to them by telling me when I arrived. The main dining area was loud and we could hear every word of the four people sitting behind us. Just not what we wanted for a special night and milestone.

True Italian cuisine. Very well done in an every aspect. Food was great (we had 3 appetizers and the salmon and veal for mains). Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. We felt really welcome by everyone. Great experience, will be back.

If I could give it more than five stars I would. Verdicchio is an amazing place for Italian food. It was so good, we actually went back the next day, and it somehow was even better. If you are looking for an excellent dining experience in Sudbury, do not hesitate to come here (more than once!). The food was amazing, the service impeccable. There is nothing bad I can say about this restaurant and will be returning at my first opportunity.
