Warm, inviting atmosphere with a great view of St. Lawrence River! Every visit the staff has been excellent and always enjoy the food! There is a large patio for a great outdoor dining experience.

Beautiful waterfront spot to unwind after a long drive. We had a great experience. Our server, Linely, was wonderful. Despite the restaurant being short-staffed, she went out of her way to ensure everyone was taken care of. The food was tasty; we ordered the chicken fingers, Paddle Burger, and taco salad (would have preferred a bit more salad without the deep-fried basket). I also tried the Pomegranate Gin Fizz and really enjoyed it. A relaxing atmosphere with great service!

It was the only restaurant open in Lancaster on a Monday, and the website had us convinced it would be worth it. The polished design, menu descriptions, prices $23/meal, and even the suggestion to book a reservation convinced us the food would be really good.
We ordered takeout: the Paddle Burger with fries and chicken tenders with fries. Right up until opening the boxes, we believed we were about to enjoy something special. Unfortunately, the reality was disappointing. The burger was just a small ordinary hamburger with lots of toppings, the chicken tenders were clearly frozen, and the fries were nothing memorable.
For $48 (food only, no drinks) plus a $12 tip, we expected elevated pub fare. Instead, what we received felt more like a very expensive kids’ meal, a basic burger and frozen chicken fingers that could have come from any fast-food supplier. Definitely not the dining experience the website led us to expect.

Can't rate the food as my wife and I did not eat, we waited for over 10 mins for someone to finally come to seat us and when they finally came we left, as another couple that had been seated before we even got there and they had no water no menus. And no service. So when we saw that they were walking out we left as well. Nobody even came by and said very sorry we are busy etc. This was at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. This was our first time and were excited to try the restaurant but seems they are too short staffed to serve customers. There was a gentleman at the front looking at a computer and not sure if he was an owner or manager if so he gets a failing grade cause he really did nothing. He walked past us after about 5 mins and said someone will be with you shortly. Well that was not true. Also there were at lease 5 tables that needed cleaning and clearing and if he was the owner or manager than he should have kicked in and helped out.

We waited a bit, 'cause they were helping others, but we were cool.
Then we left. After being completely ignored.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. Our waitress, Natalie, was inattentive and unprofessional. She rarely checked on our table, and when she did, it felt rushed and dismissive. On top of that, the wait time for our food was unbelievably long, far beyond what would be reasonable, even during busy hours. By the time our meals arrived, we’d been sitting there for what felt like forever, with little to no updates or apologies. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, and I won’t be coming back.

We were excited to try the Perch & Paddle again. We tried it twice when it first opened and that didn’t go well. Dreadfully slow service. We thought we would give it another try, now that they would have time to work out the start-up issues. We tried, but it wasn’t a good experience again. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food and it was disappointing. My wife had fish & chips (simple meal) and both were significantly overcooked. I had the perch roll and fries. They were cooked just right but the sauce for the perch roll had zero flavour. We would like to have a local option but the Perch & Paddle isn’t it. The reasoning for the slow service provided by the server was that there were only 2 working in the kitchen. The other customers that came in when we did or later were finished their meals before we got ours. We were going to leave after 1 hour and 15 minutes and should have! We won’t be back.
