Went there for some flavourful Mexican food. I was sadly disappointed. The chips and salsa was our appetizer and my biggest complaint about that, is the salsa. That should have been the star. The opportunity is there to have great flavour. I don’t think this salsa verde is homemade. I’ve have Heredez salsa in a jar and it’s better than what they make. Or it’s exactly what they use, but watered down. There is no flavour to the verde. For the main dish I had the chimichanga. This time I wanted to try the mild salsa after mentioning the lack of flavour in the verde to our waitress. That came as a surprise. I was surprised that they actually make a pretty good bruschetta. But to try to pass off a bruschetta, as a salsa is just wrong. There was way too much oregano in the mild salsa. You say what? Yes,oregano in their salsa. The photo, for reference shows the oil base floating on top of the “salsa”. If I had to guess, this is Costco’s bruschetta. Now, I did let our waitress know that the green salsa was watery, and there was heavy amounts of oregano in the mild salsa along with the oil vinegar base. Probably fell on deaf ears. The chimichanga was bland also. I needed to ask for salt as everything tasted under seasoned. I won’t go back unless they consider revamping their idea of Mexican. Because what we ate could’ve been cheaper at Taco Bell with much more flavour.

Easily, HANDS DOWN! the BEST margaritas in Essex County. This is not a reach. Grand Cantina! Mi Casita! F&B! Maiden Lane! Pen and paper folks. Taste buds at the ready. Take note! There is a lesson to be learned here. Not saying yall make a bad margarita.. but El Patron is miles ahead. And it costs less. How do they pull this off? I don't know. And I don't care. Might have something to do with freshly squeezed lime juice.. Espolon Tequila.. Serrano Chili... Triple SEC.. and LOVE. IF you want the best margaritas in town. You need to head down to El Patron. The service is incredible. And the food. THE FOOD. Authentic. Beautiful. Try the Birria! Some of the best I've ever had. Thank you El Patron!! Keep up the good work.

We had previously experienced take out from El Patron. That was amazing. Tonight we thought let’s go inside. Wow, we sat at the bar. The best seats in the house. Such an amazing experience. The bartender/server was just wonderful. Later on we found out she was one of the owners. We are so happy to see a positive busy business happening. Being a local small business owner myself. It’s just so wonderful to see.Yes there may be a wait to be seated when you get there. But it is definitely worth it. Or skip the line and eat at the bar #bestseatatthebar ??❤️

Great mexican food and drinks here the staff are awesome
The food is so, so good. Love the new location and seeing how successful they are. The service was slow, although I'll offer some grace since they just moved and were SUPER busy. Pro tip: you can call ahead and request a loose reservation if you're able to be flexible and arrive in 15 mins when they call you.My only 'complaint' was that the tables for two are quite small and couldn't really accommodate two dinner plates, two drinks, and the two water glasses and bottle. Will definitely be going back, can't wait for their patio to be open!

Good little place for Mexican food in the sleepy little town of Tecumseh. Hubby and I both had the Chimichangas. Portions were decent, and food was tasty. Being across from Mexican Town in the US inclines me to give a bit of a lower review for food and service, but nonetheless a solid choice if you can make it to the States.

Atmosphere is great. The service was excellent! But the food was the blandest Mexican food I have ever had. The food in Cuba has more flavour. The guacamole needed salt, pepper and lime to make it edible. My shrimp tacos had so sauce on them plus a corn tortilla…,holy dry. Thank god the drinks were good.

Enjoyed a delicious meal at El Patron Mexican Grill! Amazing service from the time we walked in. The inside of the restaurant is styled beautifully. Our server was so attentive and gave great menu suggestions for us to try. We enjoyed the Chroi-Fries to start, followed by a shared taco box with Chorizo, Asada, Al Pastor, and Polo options. Our favorite was the Asada - Grilled Steak. So many dishes we still want to try, we will definitely be planning another visit to El Patron!
