Dropped on for a light lunch and were bowled over by the flavours. I had the grilled halloumi with greens and my husband had the trout sandwich. Yum!! Loved the iced chai and lavender lemonade too. We’ll be back

This is a lovely, quaint restaurant; in a garden setting. The carrot soup was smooth, creamy and flavourful. The rainbow trout, wild rice, and zucchini in tomato sauce were cooked to perfection. The creme brulee and cheesecake were delish!!! All in all a perfect meal. Quick and friendly service. Highly recommend!!!

When we are out we like to have wine with our dinner. Clearly it is the owners choice but it was disappointing. Steak without a glass of red! Out for a special occasion it's nice to have a beverage to enhance a lovely meal and it can complement not deter from many dishes. We could hear several tables talking about this while we were there. The place was full so no reason to change I guess, however I wish I'd known.
Our dining experience at Garden’s Gate was absolutely exceptional.
The floral vibrancy of the homemade sodas and kombuchas, the balance and depth of flavor in the locally sourced trout and the wild rice, and the airy angel food cake accompanied by a velutinous lemon custard would by themselves make this an outstanding experience.
What truly elevates the experience is that the delectable dishes, delightful garden, adorable dining room, and lovely hosts all make it abundantly clear that Garden’s Gate is run by people who are deeply conscious about sourcing and handling food in a manner that simultaneously respects the local environment and delights guests.
At Garden’s Gate, even the water has a story to tell about the importance of our connection to what we consume, and it’s a story that more than warrants a trip to Manitoulin Island.

This was one of the most exquisite dining experiences we have ever had! Everything was perfect, amazing vibes & excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. Kombucha brewed in house flavored w edible flowers grown right outside the door, freshly baked bread w herbed butter, handmade pasta better than anything we had in Italy, fresh trout belly cooked to perfection & the desserts were to die for! Do not miss out on this place, it’s a 10 out of 5!

We had the fried chicken burger, hamburger, fries, and maple cheesecake. It came to $65 with a tip. Everything was utterly perfect. The homemade buns are amazing! The cheesecake was fluffy. The fries were fresh cut. Worth every penny. They are more than a 5/5, they're a 6/5!
