Big thanks to Nav for impeccable service at my birthday dinner. He was patient with our big group and sweet with the young ones. Friendly, courteous and professional....it all shone through.
The food was delicious. I had a mushroom barley soup- which was sizeable enough for a meal itself- and my favourite, the BBQ chicken breast (with extra sauce of course). Most of my party had some kind of beef, and overall everyone was sated and satisfied.
I also want to thank the restaurant for making a 'big deal' of a birthday- with very loud music, a special sparkler and the staff coming to the table to sing and make a fuss.
It was a great place to celebrate my birthday among family, of all ages. Thanks to all!

food is fine but the service needs work.
- for dining in, the servers don't really listen to you. if you have multiple requests or more than one person wants to address the server, generally they will say "ok" and walk away the instant your first request leaves your mouth. This leaves the table waiting for whatever they need, often basic things like water, cutlery, salt etc. that should already be on the table. Same goes if you ask for a refill, they will come back, fill only your cup then leave without asking the table. You can tell they are noticeably annoyed after a few trips and it starts to show in their service like they're somehow mad at the table for making too many requests. I want to stress, none of it is unreasonable like going off the menu. It is all basic things. I could maybe excuse it if it was a particularly busy night but this is consistent behaviour.
- for take out, every time i go and ask for schug (spicy) its very rare they actually put it on. Sometimes they'll insist i just never asked for it. Other times they'll keep asking if i'm sure i want it (presumably because i'm white since they never do that with my gf who has more of a olive/tan tone lol). On a couple occasions i had to come back and show them the receipt and that they forgot it, only for them to try to charge me a second time for it. I've had to make a mental note to only order online as there is written proof. If i call in the order, they say its their word against mine....which is especially unprofessional as to ensure clarity, i ask them to repeat the order and the mention the schug. it is far from the first time i've seen them get noticeably defensive and blame the customer when it was THEM who forget or just choose not to listen
it's also worth noting that you seem to get objectively better service if you speak Hebrew

Probably the worst or one of the worst restaurant in GTA. The kebab was overcooked, burned and tested and looked like a charcoal. The chef should be ashamed for his “cooking”. Stay away from this place.

Hours wrong
Over priced! Not clean, food below average.
Horrible place, especially for take out. 23$ for a take out cold shawarma with a Laffa that breaks From being stale
Vegetarian options: By far the lowest quality of salad bar. Almost nothing to offer

Excellent service! Delicious food, beautiful atmosphere.NAB my server, remembers all my food favorites, and what he should put on the table, which I think is very sweet of him to even remember I love the spicy sauce. He gave me as much as I wanted. Overall, experiences are amazing. Try it you will not regret it, but only go back. Thanks

When visiting Toronto, Ontario last week, relatives told us we had to check out Ba-Li Laffa in Thornhill. This authentic Mediterranean restaurant has lots of seating with plenty of room. Our server was so welcoming and told us to be ready to experience a "true Israeli cuisine." The meal started off with plenty of spiced pita bread and a slew of sauces/dips/salatim including Chummus, Marinated Eggplant, Matbucha and Babaganush. Each dip had more flavor then the next and looked so bright and vibrant. Honestly, we could have ended the meal with dips and pita bread and we would have been very satisfied. They also have an extensive drinks and wine menu. I had a Tequila Sunrise and my kids had nonalcoholic fruit Daiquiris. Both were delicious. Next we tried both the Moroccan Cigars and the Pulled Beef cigars. Both were steaming hot and full of flavor. Believe it or not, the Moroccan Cigars weren't too spicy which enabled us to enjoy more of them. The Cigars came with an amazingly fresh Israeli salad complete with sweet and tangy dressing. I was really excited when our server, Nicole, brought the next dish. It was authentic Beef Arayes. Now I have never tasted Arayes, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. They are to this Canadian like a hamburger in pita bread. Truthfully though, it is way more than that. The spices, flavors and heat blended together in a perfect bite. Now it was time for the Pulled Beef Flatbread. Now we have had many a meat flatbread. Many of them get soggy quickly and the flatbread gets kind of dough-y because of the wet meat on top and sauce. Bali Laffa’s flatbread had this amazing crush on the BOTTOM of the bread. Not soggy at all. Delicious and crunchy, not to mention the amazingly tasty onion jam on top of it. A must have if I may say so along with the Arayes. My family also happens to love wings, whether sweet or spicy, we love them all. So it was no surprise that we ordered the sticky and sweet Honey Garlic Chicken Wings which were “finger licken good.” It was time for the big main. Nicole approached the table holding a big meat board which had pieces of schnitzel, grilled chicken and steak with fresh chimichurri PLUS an accompaniment of shwarma. Everything was out of this world, fresh, hot, tender and packed with flavor. Lastly, our server dropped off one of their Chinese dishes called Mongolian beef with shanghai noodles. Now all the Mediterranean food was authentic as can be as confirmed by our daughters who just returned from the year in Israel, but a Mediterranean restaurant serving Chinese??? Could they pull it off? They certainly can. It was some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. The noodles had the perfect texture, the meat and sauce was perfect and tasty, it was heaven. After nine plus hours on the road, this was the perfect way to relax and eat and enjoy ourselves. If you find yourself in the greater Toronto/Niagara Falls area, you need to check out Ba-Li Laffa.
