These guys are serious coffee nerds in the best way possible. Find the most unique and high quality coffees here. Amazing to have these guys right in Thornhill.
Best coffee ever!!!!!!!
Nice pour over coffee! ☕
Burukudu's pour over coffee is insanely good. You can literally taste all the different layers of flavours in the coffee bean. There's a bit of a wait time as there is a meticulous process to it, but I can appreciate that, and it's definitely worth the wait. Unfortunately there is no seating anymore. Standing room only.
Amazing coffee
Very friendly atmosphere, owner is very attentive. Cool place to try!
This place is Amazing. It was liking having my own personal barista. Coffee was phenomenal and when he heard I did my own pour overs, he used an aero press to give me a different experience. He even taught me a trick on how to make my own pour over experience quicker. If I can (just visiting) I’d like to come back
Great service. Owner is a cool guy.
Amazing coffee, knowledgeable on so many brewing methods, and to top it off, amazing selection of vinyls to vibe to. Come check it out!
Amazing soups, jellies and coffee.

Very weird experience here a few weeks ago. Coffee was okay. Tasted a little burnt though not terrible, so it wasn’t the end of the world. However, the guy working the counter made it very awkward. I think he said he was the owner. He looked really rough. Smelled like alcohol. I don’t know if he was drunk or hung over, but out of the blue he made some derogatory comments about women. It was super awkward and unprofessional..
Side note, not the best place to operate a business. Market is totally dead all the time and has been since I was a kid. I grew up in the area. In the 80’s and early 90’s it was semi busy on weekends. I didn’t even realize it was still open. I thought the building was sitting there empty waiting to be developed.

Picked up a bag of Chalo’s colombian. Next time I’m going to grab a bag of Pete’s 42 Espresso blend. Both make delicious espresso! Also recommend the pourovers. Mukesh has mastered the craft!

If you want some of the best tasting coffee in the city, I highly recommend BURUKUDU at the York Farmers Market in Toronto. The people and the experience is outstanding!! Every coffee is made with fresh coffee beans and you can either get hot or cold. The process is simple, yet precise. Hand ground, and using a traditional poor over method. Coffee grind and water are precisely measured for weight and temperature, which you can easily drink with or without cream or sugar. Definitely try without to experience the flavours. Aside from coffee, you can also find a great selection of recently roasted coffee bean to take home, home made soups and muffins, made fresh daily!! This is truly an experience in coffee we will never forget. Mukesh in definitely a scientists when it comes to making coffee. You will be happy you dropped in!!!
