As a loyal customer of this store , I had a very bad experience yesterday when bought a box of Napoleon and honey caramel slice !!! Both of them were so old even fas throw out that Caramel honey Cake to garbage. Please do not sell Old and outdated pastry!!!!!

Once upon a time this place had a good name, when they were in the old location, many years ago. Everyone said it was great.
I visited twice in the past 2 years, and honestly the second visit was just because we were in the area and my daughter wanted a customized cake and they are known to do it... terrible mistake.
First time - cake for husband's birthday: I called to ask them about cakes they recommended without chocolate. Very grumpy answer asking me to go to the website and everything is there. So I called later and was asked to come and prepay in person. I live fat from there. I did. I ordered a white chocolate cake with nuts snd berries supposed to be delicious. I confirmed the pick up time. Very overprived but as was already there and hoping to get the best cake, I said nothing. When I picked up the cake I was told it had to sit in outside for a couple of hours before serving. This was an unpleasant surprise. After 2 hours of sitting on the counter the cake was as hard as a rock, we couldn't even put a candle in it or cut it. We struggled and everyone got a handful of bits and pieces of frozen cake in their plates. Very upset and embarassed.
Second visit - cake order: My daughter wanted a very special customized cake and as the venue would be close to this bakery we went there. We politely waited, there were 2 women, none of whom acknowkedged us, one of them helping another customer. Even after they were done we had to actually get their attention. She was very grumpy and if it wasn't for my daughter's birthday I would have walked right out. We explained what we wanted. She said it's not possible to do it. I mentioned how it could be done. She said yes but it costs more. I was offended, as she should have just said yes but it costs more. Still I said money's no object; we just want the cake a certain way. Then she said ok wait. She called her chef (or maybe the manager/owner?- speaking another language) and as she was talking to us, the cake that at first she had said would cost about $90 (still tooooo much) became 130, then 200, then something around 300. And this was going to be a one-tier, smallish round cake. I found her attitude rude, greedy and unprofessional.
I finally told my daughter there's a beautiful Chinese bakery that can do this for her, with less than half the cost and excellent customer service. I really didn't want my daughter's birthday to be ruined bevause of memories of that horrible place.
Before leaving she was hungry so we told the lady we were just paying for some pastries to take along (took so long for her to come to come cash us out).
We ordered her cake at a nice Chinese bakery in Markham and it was waaaay cheaper, and it was awesome looking and delicious.
I just had to write this review.
If you expect good customer service and good cakes, don't go here.

I have ordered chocolate tornado and I was told this cake was not sweet at all, which was completely inaccurate. It was extremely sweet. The sponge was watery and had the texture of a frozen-and-defrosted cake. The cream didn’t taste fresh. The quality was poor for the price, and I wouldn’t buy it again.

Absolutely awful place. We reached out about a wedding cake and were met with nothing but rudeness. The entire staff is rude, and the owner behaves completely inappropriately — talking down to you, using an overly familiar tone, and being outright disrespectful. Forget anything custom — nothing is possible. Any request is met with irritation and attitude. Yet the prices are insanely overpriced, as if they offer some kind of premium service (they don’t). They completely ruined our mood over a wedding cake. Instead of professional communication, we got pressure, hostility, and the feeling that they were doing us a favor. We were straight-up insulted. Zero customer service and zero respect. Never again, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered their Ferrero cake...hoping it will have hazelnut flavor...my goodness gracious, something soo disgusting I have not tried. It was just cheap margarine icing, colored with, most probably with cheap coco powder. I was soo embarrassed when my gests , after the first bite, one after another just placed it in garbage. I guarantee walmatrt and freshco pre made cakes are better quality than that cake was.

Excellent cakes with the rudest staff. Our friends and family have shopped here for over 15 years and we keep coming back for the taste but my God such a shame that somewhere with such wonderful tasting cakes has such bad customer service. If you ask them questions they roll their eyes and answer aggressively or answer agitated. You’d think a business doing so well would have less bitter staff. Quite sad.
