Cynthia's Chinese Restaurant - Thornhill

We made our order for food at 5:00 for a 9pm pick up. As we were driving in to pick our food up they called us to tell us it would be another hour meaning our food would be ready at 10 pm, over an hour later. I understand getting busy, if it has been a problem they should have called well before. Been eating here for years, and will never ever be back. They lost out only not only my business, but my families business. A shame they couldn’t figure out how to get food don’t that was ordered 4 hours in advance.

hello it was my first time going there i was very surprised that the food was so good and the service as well everyone who what's a great experience must go for sure

Ordered in the afternoon -in person for pickup Christmas evening. I had wanted to pick up at 6PM but was told I had no option but to pick up at 5:15PM. That should have been my red flag. I came in at 5:15 only to be told that the kitchen was running behind and it would be another 15 minutes. Another red flag but I decided to stay. An hour later my 3 items were ready. I should have taken the red flags and ran! Every one who was waiting for pickup had the same issue. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and it is the same thing every year and for some reason I still order from Cynthia's. I promise that this is the last year. The food was ok-it is bland to say the least and the beef in the sizzling garlic beef was chewy. Sorry to say that Cynthia's is not what it used to be.

perfect, everything is good, love the food and service here, i will very good in this location and the food and atmosphere and service very good will come back soon

I visited that restorante with group of 10 to celebrate my BD . The place is pretty and clean. But My bill was 1, 600 dollars with 20% tip that charged automatically. I did not order any crabs or lobsters. I ordered 3 bottles of very simple wine and 6 soft drinks.Besides, they brought soups and spring rolls and Peckin duck each 1 pc per person during 2 hrs so I felt like not enough food for everyone and then they brought all meat and sides when we were not hungry anymore after 2 hrs. So I have to take all of main dishes out in the boxes, but we don't like left overs so it will go waist...
We did not enjoyed so much especially when I got that bill.
Also it leaves me an impression that they make you to order most expensive stuff from the menu...

How did I now know about this restaurant??? Service is excellent, food is excellent, very traditional and I will not eat at any other Chinese restaurant when I am within 100 KMS. Highly recommend!!!

Ordered delivery. Order taker not patient or respectful, actually made me feel like I was bothering him because I was not familiar with menu items.

Did take out. Ordered veggie fried rice, veggie chopped suey, and veggie hot and sour soup. I found all three dished 5 stars in terms of taste, freshness, quantity. and price. Best meal I've had in Toronto so far.

Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie choices.
