Authentic kathiyavadi gujrati cuisine. Very flavourful. They make fresh puran polis which I was missing. Thankfully we found this place. The staff comes across as rude at first but I think thats a littl we bit of communication gap. No vibe or customer service, go there purely for the taste.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TORONTO ALERT!!
The lady who served us was very rude and disrespectful in all possible aspects. She doesn’t know how to treat customers. We had to leave restaurant without even eating food.
I would not recommend this restaurant (Govardhan Thai - Thornhill) to anyone, Scarborough location is much better in terms of customer service.

The worst customer service you could ever get. The lady is the most rudest person I’ve ever met. No doubt every time we pass by this place it’s always empty. We’ve been to other Govardhan Thals and they are really nice and welcoming. You shouldn’t be having a customer facing business if you don’t know how to treat your customers. Get some freakin manners

Check all other branches, menu and ratings before visiting. They all have delicious Gujarati vegetarian spicy food served as all you can eat buffet and made to order chapatis, theplas, puranpolis.
Kid-friendliness: Sweet food also available (mango ras, gulab jamun, rasgulla, etc.)
I am crazy fan of Govardhan thal, however it ws my first time at Thornhill.
Food was cold and dried up, almost half of the variety was missing. The lady was so arrogant that she had no intentions to run the restaurant. I wasted my money for the first time plus feel so bad in my stomach after eating all that food which was stored in freezer and they literally microwaved the food.
Worst experience, rude staff, stale and dried up food. Would never recommend or go!

I was having high hopes after going to other franchise of GOVARDHAN THAL but this was nothing in front of that.
Very poor atmosphere and service. Food was stale. I think they don't want business. And the staff, I don't know what attitude was in her about she was so rude and was looking as of we were gonna eat her behalf of food.
Anyone sane would not go to this place. I personally would recommend people to go to some other franchise of GOVARDHAN THAL but not this.
