Halibut House Fish & Chips Thornhill Vaughan

Halibut House in Thornhill has a very good atmosphere with a big, neat dining saloon that feels comfortable and inviting. The staff are welcoming and attentive, especially Rina, who showed great hospitality and made our visit pleasant.

We ordered Halibut and Cod dishes with fries.
The quality was good overall, but the Cod was a bit tasteless, and I’ve had more flavorful fish and chips in other restaurants. That said, the experience was enjoyable, and I might come back to try some of their other dishes.

This location near Bathurst & Centre is very clean & welcoming.
The halibut fish was fresh 😋 but that is about it...
My fries where cold but the worst part was...
The fish chowder it was horrible it tasted like cornstarch & water nothing else but black pepper

The most decent fish and chips that have found in and around Vaughan. Coleslaw amount is slightly disappointing but everything else was good.

Incorrectly labels their food on delivery apps and then blames the app itself when the food doesnt match the description. Doesn't offer to find a solution, just says its out of their hands.

Other Halibut House's are good. Food is usually decent.

Recently ordered takeout and the food was so disappointing. 5 pieces of shrimp with a bunch of tasteless fries for $20? No thank you. Not to mention, one of the servers violated a serious health & safety code right in front of me. She touched the floor, picking up a broom that fell over, and then immediately touched two plates of food. Gross.

Won’t be ordering from here again.

Excellent service, very attentive server! Very pleasant. Down side closes at 8pm on a Saturday, bill came exactly at 8. Food was good!

It was our first time trying this place and it was very delicious. The menu has so much options and the food comes hot/fresh.

It was 5:15 pm. I ordered a grilled halibut and chips that was done just right. The fish was tender and tasted fresh, and the chips was fried lightly but crispy (how it should be). And the dish was ready just a few minutes after I ordered.

Good portion on both the fish and the chips.

Serving team was friendly and energetic. Server Sabrina was courteous and professional.

It is satisfying for a customer when chain fast food is done right.

Halibut House Fish is hands down one of the best spots for fresh, delicious fish and chips! The halibut was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside—and the portion sizes were generous. The fries were golden and cooked to perfection. When we arrived, some of the staff were on their lunch break, but a cook quickly jumped out from the kitchen, greeted us warmly, and took our order right away. Our food arrived fast, and our server was super attentive and polite. Great service and even better food. Highly recommended!
