This is my 5th visit to Osteria Mattarello. Food is still excellent but the service of one of the waitresses was totally unacceptable. She was handing the food over to some of us instead of placing it in front of the person who had ordered it. After the appetizers, the first set of utensils were cleared, which is good. However, we were given forks only for our entrees, when knives and spoons were also needed.
While clearing out the dishes, she drop a knife onto the table hitting a dish which my son was stilling enjoying. Luckily, it didn't break anything.
Service of the previous 4 visits had been excellent. I think some of your servers have to be trained before taking the job.
Last, the music is a bit too loud. It's even hard for us to communicate with the servers. We can't hear each others while ordering our food.

Parking: no comment.

I ordered the chili chicken rigatoni. It was really good and filling! It was slightly spicy but tolerable, coming from someone who doesn't eat spicy food at all. The staff were all wonderful and friendly.

I booked a reservation for 8:15 PM, eager for a night out with my date. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be anything but pleasant. From the moment we were seated, we faced a series of disappointments. First off, I had to chase down a waiter just to get some water for myself and my date. We decided to keep it simple and ordered one spicy pizza. After waiting for over 50 minutes, a waitress came by to ask what we had ordered, despite having already informed a waiter earlier. When the pizza finally arrived, it was a total letdown—doughy and undercooked. I've received better service and food at run-down restaurants in the underdeveloped parts of the city. The hospitality was lacking, and to top it off, there was no compensation or apology for the late and poorly cooked food. I paid the bill but left a $0.00 tip, expressing my disappointment to the front-of-house staff and advising them to manage orders more promptly. I sincerely hope the management or owner reads this review and takes it to heart, as I left the restaurant feeling utterly disappointed.

So far it is the best Italian restaurant I had. You can sit and chat with friends very comfortably while enjoying your meal. Their menu change from time to time. Only limited seats, it is suggested to make a reservation before going.

Ricky and Elizabeth were absolutely amazing! They made our party guest feel so welcome and went above and beyond for the bride who was celebrating her bridal gathering. I would definitely recommend this spot for my friends and family!

My experience at Osteria Mattarello was nothing short of a complete disaster—easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, the service was incompetent, the food was borderline inedible, and the pricing was a blatant cash grab.

Let’s start with the service, or lack thereof. When my table arrived, we were literally the only customers in the restaurant. Another table came in 10 minutes after us, yet somehow, they got their food first. How does that even happen? Are they cooking based on some mysterious queue system where earlier customers get punished? It’s not like they were busy.

Then came the water scam. When asked what water I wanted, I was only given two options: sparkling or still. Naturally, I chose still, only to later find out that I was charged $8 for a bottle of water. Why? Because they conveniently “forgot” to mention that tap water was an option. That’s blatant dishonesty, and $8 for water is ridiculous even at actual fine dining establishments. Some of the best restaurants in the world offer free still water, yet this joke of a place thinks it’s justified to overcharge for something that costs them nothing? Embarrassing.

Now onto the food, which was somehow even worse than the service. My table ordered the hot honey chicken and some pizzas. The chicken was an absolute disgrace—dry, chewy, and tough. If I wanted something this bad, I could’ve microwaved some week-old leftovers and saved myself the money. The pizzas? An insult to Italian cuisine. They tasted like $10 frozen pizzas you’d get from a grocery store, except somehow worse. For a place calling itself “Osteria,” the food was laughable. If I wanted low-quality pizza, I could’ve gone to literally any chain restaurant and had a better experience for a fraction of the price.

To top it all off, once we finally got our food, the staff completely ignored us. Not once did anyone check in to see if we needed anything. No refills, no “how’s the food?”—nothing. It’s like they knew how bad the food was and didn’t want to deal with complaints. Honestly, I have zero experience as a waiter, but I guarantee I could have done a better job than these people.

This place is an absolute scam—from the overpriced water to the horrendous food and atrocious service, there’s not a single redeeming quality. If you value your time, money, and taste buds, stay far, far away from Osteria Mattarello. I wouldn’t go back even if they paid me. 0/10.

The restaurant decor is really nice and chic! Jamie, Elizabeth & Ricky were just amazing. We were celebrating my father’s birthday and our party had a 4 year old and a 1 year old. The staff was super friendly and helpful even when my daughter started screaming. We ordered the chocolate brownie tiramisu which they make in house and it was delicious! Knowing that I can’t give my son the dessert due to the espresso in it, Ricky gave my son gelato! Overall a wonderful experience, definitely recommend!

Kid-friendliness: The staff was so friendly and because they knew my daughter loves bread, they brought out bread just for her :) thanks Ricky!

Amazing Dining Experience!

Mattarello exceeded all my expectations. The food was phenomenal—each dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. All the dishes stood out as a highlight, perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Even the desserts were a treat and the perfect finish to an incredible meal.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious food and a top-notch experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came to Osteria Mattarello with about 8 of my girlies and had such an easy time booking and making arrangements even for a group our size as we had to make changes a few times. The environment is elegant, social and insta worthy, the girls and i loved taking a group photo infront im of the pretty wall. The food was so good a few of our girls got silent for a while because they were just occupied with deliciousness. My beef ragu was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the portions was enough to fill me up, honestly it was so good I contemplated on seconds. I even tasted my girls rosé pasta which was my second choice and also didn’t disappoint, the chicken was cooked to perfection. Ricky the manager came to our table a few times and even helped us get that instaworthy picture of the group, one of the girls have it ofcourse. He was super nice and chill and accommodating, our girls had a cheese surge and Ricky and our server managed to hold it down and ensure everyone was happy. Our Galentines day was filled with laughs and good company in the perfect environment thanks to Osteria Mattarello and Ricky and his staff. I would definitely recommend if you in the area and looking for an elegant and social environment with delicious eats.

Our first time experience was excellent ! The host ( Ricky) is very friendly and helpful. Love the atmosphere. I like the small menu which highlights only the best. Food is tasty but I find the portion is a little bit small for the price. Pizza did not disappoint esp the spicy meat lover.
