Pasta Restaurants near Thornhill, ON

“Tried this little pasta takeout spot the other day — flavor-wise, it was kinda unique, I’ll give them that. The pasta itself though… a bit on the al dente-but-maybe-too-dente side. And I wish they were a little more generous with the sauce — it felt like it stopped halfway through the bowl.

I got it as takeout, and for a quick meal, it’s honestly not bad. Not mind-blowing, but decent enough. The price? Around $17 for a pasta — not exactly cheap, but not outrageous either. Let’s call it average for a takeout joint in the city.

The shop is tiny — there are a few seats inside, but it’s definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place than somewhere you’d hang out with friends over a long dinner. Think “efficient bite, then bounce.”

All in all, I’d give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Might come back to try a different sauce and see if it changes the game. Worth giving it one more shot!“

“First visit. I got in line ~45min before opening and was eating about 1h15 later, so be sure you’re dressed for the weather. You can see the team making shapes by hand and stirring sauce behind the counter. Merch is on the wall opposite, and a few tiny tables squeezed into a corner. I had cavatelli, perfectly cooked and spice level pleasant but not overwhelming. Tiramisu cup exceeded expectations. Given that you’re basically eating in a factory, lunch is more on pricey side than “budget”, but at one of their restaurant partners I expect I’d see fine dining prices. I will add that the service was both efficient and affable, from explaining menu and retail options to ensuring best experience with frozen goods on a sunny day. The hours, wait, and location would keep me from visiting for dine-in regularly, but I hope to someday return prepared to drag home a few frozen goods :)“

“Have been hear of this place from my Italian coworkers for long time. Finally, I went there today and picked up some fresh pasta. I told the lady at the counter that this was my first visit and she gave me some recommendations. Love the Vodka Sauce and nothing beat fresh pasta. I am very happy with their service and products. We had a wonderful meal!“

“I grew up going to National Noodles when they were in North York. I have never been disappointed. Excellent quality fresh pasta at reasonable price. They cut the sheets of lassagna so it fits my tray perfectly. You have to try the stuffed pasta-it is amazing, my kids all time favorite.“

“We have ordered catering from Farina Plus for a couple of larger functions and they did not disappoint! We were so impressed by quality of food and reasonable pricing. “Have been a customer for decades. The best homemade authentic Italian sauces and pastas in the city and a great selection of fresh and frozen and different sizes. Now also a good selection of dairy free options. Bring cheques or cash as no debit or credit options. The owner and staff are lovely. Prices have increased since Covid but then again they have everywhere!“

“Yum!!!! Really great pasta!I was looking for a place close to work that had fresh pasta - and I could take home for dinners. A bit of googling and I found freshpasta.ca (a store). I bought a whole lot of different things; spaghetti, fettuccini, a bunch of stuffed pasta and some sauce.Tonight I tried the fettuccini. It was great!! I can hardly wait to try something else that’s now in my fridge.This non-descript place was run by a really friendly guy named Rick. Rick, who seems to have pasta in his blood, told me he that he just took over this place - which has been serving pasta for a long time.He’s got exciting plans to expand the store. “Amazing food and great service! We had the veal parm for dinner with the mushroom ravioli and both were incredible and full of flavour. Best pasta around!! I’ve also tried the butter chicken ravioli (it’s like Buffalo chicken) and it’s incredible. We made it with a blue cheese cream sauce and WOW. The lamb spaducci is unmatched. The roasted red pepper cannelloni is hands down the best cannelloni I’ve ever had. The sacketti’s are delicious too. I can’t say enough good things about this food. I’ll be back to stock up as soon as I can“
