This experience was deeply disappointing. Paying $59 plus tax and a 20% tip — nearly $80 — only to be served food in plastic bags feels careless, greedy, and completely out of touch. At this price point, there should be respect for customers and basic standards. I had the same experience at Seau de Crabe Restaurant, which operates at a lower price point — making this even harder to justify.

What hurts most is the health and environmental impact. Serving hot food in plastic raises serious concerns, and thinking about how many plastic bags are used every single day across Red Lobster locations is honestly upsetting. This isn’t just wasteful — it’s irresponsible. Even if the plastic is labeled BPA-free or heat-resistant, that does little to address the broader health risks and environmental damage.

For a large, well-known restaurant, this choice shows a troubling lack of care for both people and the planet. The experience left me sad, frustrated, and unwilling to support this business again. 😞

Always love this place. Employees are friendly which is an added bonus. Menu has been updated with some nice spicy choices. Seasonal selections are a welcome as usual. They have automatic doors so wheelchairs are not an issue. The bathroom is a push door and not automatic so some may need assistance. The place is clean even with all the butter. Yummy.
PS the Host Darren was a pleasure and took very good care of my large family.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment with our recent visit to the Red Lobster location in Thornhill, Ontario on Christmas Eve for lunch. This is a tradition my family and I look forward to every year, and unfortunately, this year’s experience was extremely upsetting and far below the standards we expect from Red Lobster.
Our server, George V., was initially polite; however, his attitude quickly declined as the meal progressed. Throughout our visit, we had to ask for basic items such as water and napkins multiple times, the server should be more attentive to the basics.
The most troubling incident occurred when it came time to pay the bill. My husband left a $20 tip, despite the service being subpar. George clearly expressed dissatisfaction with the amount and responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner by throwing the receipt onto the table and walking away. This behavior was childish, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. Frankly, given the level of service we received, he did not deserve a tip at all, yet we still chose to be courteous.
Additionally, I had a birthday coupon for a complimentary dessert and selected the cheesecake. It arrived approximately 10 minutes later, and when it did, it was frozen. The strawberries included in the presentation looked as though they had been carelessly thrown onto the plate, making the dessert unappetizing and poorly presented.
Overall, this visit was deeply disappointing. Our total bill came to $257.55, and with the $20 tip, we paid $277.55 for an experience that was anything but enjoyable. This was not the memorable Christmas Eve lunch we have come to expect from Red Lobster.
I would expect far more professionalism, attentiveness, and quality from your staff. Unfortunately, this location failed to deliver on all fronts. I hope this matter is taken seriously, as it reflects poorly on the Red Lobster brand.

Great experience! Went as a family for a Christmas dinner. The seafood didn't disappoint. So great to see Red Lobster back on track! :)

The reservation process needs an overhaul. While the food and service were okay, the over 1 hour wait to be seated when we had a reservation, made the experience less than desirable.

I've been a loyal customer for many years, but my recent visit was disappointing. I've been seated in the back section the last six times, and despite requesting otherwise, my note was ignored again. The service was also quite slow. I even told the host that this would be the last time, if it happens again, I won't be returning. It's frustrating that such a simple request can't be accommodated for a regular customer.

The service was slow and not very friendly. Took forever to get water. Lighting was on the dark side.
