I have ordered takeout from this sushi place seven times in the past. Three times for family member's birthday occasions and twice for workplace lunch. All of my orders were for large sized party trays of either sashimi only, sushi/sashimi or maki rolls. Their food is always fresh and well- presented. Not many people know of this place because they're located inside York Farmers Market which is a shame. My co-workers who have tried the maki rolls I've brought from this place all loved the food and asked me where I got them from.

I ordered the salmon pokebowl, i love how it had all of my favourite toppings like avocado, corn, and mango.
The portion size and the ratio of salmon to rice was perfect!!
It was also priced very reasonably and the salmon quality was great. I'll definitely be coming back!

We ordered 3 dragon rolls and it took up the whole platter plate.The rolls were kind of hard to pick up and were breaking due to size.The pick up door is on the side of a grocery store, and it felt really sketchy because you’re next to the garbage bin and loading dock.But aside from that, worth it.

Hmm.. why are you closed at 7 pm, when it says you open until 8 pm? Where is the entrance? How do I get my food??
I was really disappointed in the food especially after seeing all their 5 star reviews. I usually order party trays elsewhere but decided to give this place a try.I ordered the 70pc tray and the avocado (in 2 sets of rolls) was rotten and brown (I can understand a little bit of brown but this was to the point where it belongs in the garbage). Also, the menu stated there are 6 spicy tuna and 6 spicy salmon rolls in the tray but they were substituted with cheaper yam rolls.I'm guessing this is a one-time occurrence based on their 4.8 rating but disappointed it happened to me.

This was my first experience eating from Sakana Sushi and it was at my friend’s kid’s birthday party. It was DELISH. I was sooo happy to see sushi at a kid’s party and then it tasted great too. I’m not a huge fan of raw fish, but I did try almost everything on display =p the rolls, the sashimi and the sushi just melted in my mouth. Again, not a huge fan of raw fish, but I did eat quite an amount of sashimi at the party. They even sell the fried chicken that was served at the party. It was pretty crunchy just the way I like my fried chicken. Yes, yes, I would recommend this restaurant to all. I looked them up and they’re located in a cute farmer’s market in Thornhill. Plenty of parking there. Go grab some sushi and FRIED CHICKEN!
Fresh and delicious sushi. He’s making them literally in front of you. Would definitely recommend to anyone to stop and try if you close by.
