Food was good.
Makaroni was great! Please dont change the recipe of it! Lamb and barberry tahchin also were great!
Only thing that needs to be improved is gheime tahchin. It had 3 limes inside my tahchin. It was unbelievably sour with only 1 piece of meat inside it. I really got disappointed cause I used to love gheime tahchin with a great quality like other foods.
Thanks guys.

The portion size and amount of meat offered were relatively small, especially considering the price. The rice was served in a significantly larger quantity than the meat. For the same price, other restaurants generally provide larger portions and a more balanced meat-to-rice ratio.

Response to their reply: For $27 at Shamsiri Restaurant, you can have quality food and much bigger portions with a great meat-to-rice ratio. Please don't compare your brand to Mandarin lol.

This is the second time that we are coming to Tachin Bar restaurant and they are closed . Don't trust their Google . Even the number that they have for their business is not responsive.

Loved the baghali polo with mahiche and the morgh o bademjoon tabchins; the flavours and textures were incredibly cozy and nostalgic. The only thing was that it was a bit hard to find the eggplant in the morgh o bademjoon tahchin! The mast o khiar was really good too.

Never order from this place online. They randomly cancel your order with no reason, over 40 minutes after you place your order. Food is like any other place, just in tahchin form; service unreliable.

I’m visiting town and today, I eagerly traveled an hour to go have Tahchin, as I’d tried their Tahchin 4 years ago and it’d left a good taste in my mouth. Got there around 5pm and they were closed. While their business hours are 12-9pm and Google was showing they are open. Very disappointing and my time was absolutely wasted.

A hair was in one of our foods and the chicken smell very bad nothing was fresh even though we had to wait over 30 minutes and obviously the server wasn’t trained for handling issues like that because she left food with hair in it on our table and go ask from kitchen what should she do
Never go here it’s waste of time and money for the quality and service you get

We ordered Tahchin and waited almost 30 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, the first spoonful had a hair in it. I informed the server immediately, but instead of removing the plate from the table right away, they just walked off to “ask what to do,” which was extremely unprofessional.

After a while, the server came back and casually asked if we wanted them to replace the dish, but said we would have to wait another 25 minutes. We said we couldn’t wait that long, and they simply replied, “Okay, we’ll refund it,” with a very careless and dismissive attitude.

The staff’s behavior was unacceptable, the service was very poor, and the whole experience felt disrespectful. Definitely not recommended.

Tahchin Bar is one of the best places to get Persian food, and their specialty is tahchin. Their Tahchin Macaroni, Ghormeh Sabzi, and Bademjoon Morgh are our favorites. They never disappoint with their portions or their stews. Totally recommend it!

Tahchin ranks as one of my top Persian meals. They've really nailed it. I preferred the lamb Tahchin (Adas polo Lamb) over the chicken since it tasted more like the ones made at home or back in Iran; the chicken's spices seemed a bit off.
The space is cozy, fitting about 10 guests, so you might have to wait. Since Tahchin isn't simple to make, it takes about 15-20 minutes to be prepared.
The dish is a bit pricey, but it's the best Tahchin you can find in the GTA, which justifies the asked price. Overall, I'd say go for the lamb Tahchin and try the place out.

PS: You may have a hard time finding a parking spot. Be prepared for that! It took us 20 mins to park, 10 mins in the queue, and another 20 mins for the food!

[Edit after owner's reply] you didn't even bother to apologize after the terrible customer service you provided. You suck! I definitely enjoyed Tochal wayyyy more than your hole in the wall!!!

Absolutely a disaster of a place. An order for four, took 50 minutes to arrive at the table.
Side dish got served AFTER the main dish.
Portions really small that I left the place half starving, and headed to Tochal for a proper meal.
The lady serving there though was very respectful and polite.
I wouldn't go there again nevertheless.
