I visited just before closing time, but the staff was so kind, and the Bingsu and Hodu-Geaja were absolutely delicious. It was my first time visiting the Steel branch. Merry Christmas🎄

After a terrific dinner at Ssanghye jjimdak, we (a group of 4) visited the nearby The Cups to get a Bingsu and we had the most disgusting treatment and disbelievingly cheating experience.

The lady at the cash register was extremely rude and discriminatory. Her disapproving and unwelcoming looks and attitude to our questions and to the order we placed were astonishing for this era!

She then went on and charged me for a medium when I placed a small order of mango Bingsu (charged $17.72), which at the time I didn’t notice but realized after I got home. We were only given a small too instead of what we paid! May be she made a few extra dollars by cheating, but we will never visit any stores of The Cups ever again!

Bingsu here is great, but do NOT get the carbonara tteokbokki! Taste-wise the sauce is just ok, but it was very thin and watery (not thick and creamy like a typical carbonara) and so the rice cakes were not well coated and the sauce just settles to the bottom of the bowl. For this reason the rice cakes on the top were flavourless, literally just rice cakes with some melted cheese. I also found the rice cakes too soft for my liking, I like them chewier. I was sad that I spent $15 on it when I was looking forward to eating some tteokbokki :(

I can't speak for the original tteokbokki and the rose version as I didn't try them, but be wary of the carbonara one

Be wary of how they make your food. One of their staff is not clean when it comes to preparing the food. One of the girls, grabbed a bag of frozen mango (in a ziplock) then she purposely dropped it off on the floor to break the frozen mango. She took it and put it on the counter. I noticed that she didn't wash her hands after picking it up. She then proceeded grabbing another ingredient from the freezer, opened it and took some of it with her barehands.(also she has a long nails ?). Yuck ! She put in one of the bing su and served it to a customer.

I was with my toddler that time who is fussy and needed to go home as it was late. I feel so bad for the customer who got it.

So imagine if it's your food shes making. She didnt care to wash her hands while touching dirty stuff that touched the floor where they walk on over and over. (IMAGINE THE BACTERIA ON THAT FLOOR).

To the owners, please train your staff to be clean.

I came to eat today while waiting to get our order I saw the lady just making the bingsu barehands and the nails is not that clean and its long while waiting infront im watching them how they make it until they get something in the freezer a scoop of frozen icecream using barehands like holding a ball lol I cannot even putting all the toppings like fruits they scoop with barehands lol im scared about the cleanliness

This is where I go in toronto to get Bingsu. There are many selections and many selections of coffee/latte. For instance, I ordered a chestnut latte. The service is great. I can even refer to a time when I overpaid, and the staff personally apologized and returned the extra money I paid - all without me realizing that I had overpaid. I would come again.

I was in the area with some friends. We were craving bingsu, so we visited the cups. At first glance, the interior decor is cute and spacious. Their menu offers a variety of bingsu flavours, cakes, croffles and drinks to choose from.

Their bingsu comes in three different sizes. We ordered the small mango bingsu, it comes with mango, mango puree, cheesecake and whipped cream. It was a decent size to share it with friends. The bingsu wasn’t too sweet, lots of mango chucks and cheesecake. Overall, 10/10!! Can’t wait to try the rest of their flavours
