Awesome experience, Friendly couple, Nice warm tea and coffee♥️
Very good
Always enjoyable with lots of old world charm. Great ice cream also.
In the world of ice cream Thornton is paradise.
I believe there are 3 ice cream parlours in this small town.
Obviously they have their priorities sorted out.
I noticed one I had not been too, a combination cafe and ice cream shop.
So of course I stopped for a cone.
This place is pretty interesting, a step back in time.
Old wood, cool decor and a real old time homeyness feel to it.
They serve Chapman’s ice cream, pretty standard for this part of Ontario as it is produced in Markdale by a respected company.
Cake or waffle cone.
Different sizes at a respectable price, served by a very decent gentleman.
Obviously I’ll be back!
An unforgettable visit!
My experience at this coffee shop was truly amazing. The store is filled with vintage charm and artistic touches that give it a unique, timeless vibe. What makes it even more special is that Bruce and his wife have been running this place — which used to be a shoe shop back in 1850! Their hospitality was heartwarming, and the service was top-notch.
I highly recommend everyone to stop by, support local businesses, and enjoy not just a cup of coffee, but a beautiful piece of history and art.
My sister and I stopped at this quaint original parlour. Mom and pop establishment on our way to parry sound today. Nostalgic hometown business with old pictures and really cool antiques! It made our day.
A great place to indulge oneself in a juicy dog or some of the best poutine around.
Follow that with a cool
ice cream sitting under the big old Oak tree on one of those hot summer evenings.

A hidden gem. The ambience is so beautiful and vintage. Will take you back to the old times. Came across this place randomly while driving from Blue Mountains to Toronto. The owners are so friendly and kind and, if you are curious, is willing to share the story of how it became a restaurant and how they got all the artifacts.

This lovely little cafe served an incredibly tasty breakfast sandwich amidst a beautiful display of antiques and mementos. The owners stopped by to chat and told some stories about the artifacts around us.
Parking: I had my choice of free street parking in front of the cafe.
