This is a cozy spot, locally owned for a long time. The food is great, and the service was outstanding.

We went for my Birthday dinner and I had the Calzone. It was delicious and so big I had to take half home.

Today was my first time eating at this restaurant. I had the calamari with shrimp for appetizer and panzerotti for dinner, which I was thinking was going to be underwhelming. The dough of the panzerotti was fantastic, something extremely digestible and made from scratch. Although I didn’t have it this makes me believe that the pizza is fanominal as well as the pasta, so hats off to the chef. The patio was gorgeous with beautiful plants and a very peaceful setting.

For the drinks, considering the name “bar italia,” they very much lacked in comparison to the food, we had the frozen spritz, the Espresso martini, the tropical punch. The frozen spritz flavour was washed out by the ice, the tropical punch was 95% ice and again washed out by the ice, the espresso martini was probably the best drink out of the 3 ordered.

For the service, it was fantastic at the beginning when initially ordering. I don’t really know what happened once ordering the mains and it could be because the panzerotti was made from scratch but after ordering it took 45 minutes a for the main to come out. The waitress we originally had was changed out but the handover between the two because at the end when it came time to pay, the waitress didn’t remember what we ordered.

Overall we had a great time, this restaurant focuses on the most important item which is the food hence the reason for the 5 stars for the food.

No option to dine in to get out of the heat and away from the flies. Service was slow. AC and stove fan were very loud so the music was turned up so you couldn't hear the people at your table and the server was yelling over top of it all. The panzerroti had a cardboard crust and the sauce was a little bland. The spinach cheese balls were fantastic.

Went expecting an authentic experience. Split a salad and pizza with my wife. Salad was tasty but an iceberg type lettuce. Veggie pizza crust was good but had very few toppings and little cheese. Server was very attentive.
Won't go back and would go to Both Hands Pizza ...much better but only open Thurs-Sat.

Not everyone wants to sit outside, especially when it is hot and humid

Great cheese balls and garlic bread. But meh fries for me(not crispy). And definitely not the best pizza place for sure. The atmosphere was great. The server was amazing. The thing that amazed me was that an elegant place like this uses the 1980s billing system. Food 1, food 2...what..!

Ambiance galore. Fantastic tiramisu. In Thunder Bay, whatever you do, this is a place not to miss.

Great food and even better service. The gnocchi was out of the park!

Great service by Alexander. Start with the Meatballs, Veal is excellent. Big fan of the panzerotti as well.

This place calls for a reservation we didn't have one and the staff made room for us to sit. Food was plentiful and very tasty.

$16 for a cesar salad on a small plate with zero bacon, barely any dressing. Stale bread and crap balsamic. All their apps are frozen mediocrity from Sysco. Can't speak for their mains, but this place is as meh as most restaurants in this town. Cocktails are also low-effort meh. The ambiance was nice tho. Service was pretty good, other than the waitress asking how things were and not sticking around for even a moment to hear the answer.
