“I just wanted to take the tome to acknowledge the amazing efforts of Colin (who I've now known to be the GM of this location) . I had called with a question, simply asking what the daily vegetable was before I placed my order through Skip the Dish. I wanted to make sure the sode was not say roasted red pepper and beans or something. During our briefing talk, I explained I had a food allergy to peppers. He said he would make sure there were no peppers. Much to my delight, the food was absolutely amazing, and I had no issues with anything. What particularly caught me off guard, was that Colin had essentially taken time aside to ensure the safety of my meal, and inquired about all ingredients to the kitchen. He found that there were pepper flakes in the coleslaw side, so he actually attached a had written note with the coleslaw aside, amd substitutions available that accommodated my allergy. I have yet to ever see a restaurant worker take such initiative, let alone learning that this was the GM whom I'm sure had many other things to do that evening. I was absolutely blown away. So Colin, if you ever see this, you made my night, and you've solidified a loyal family of clients to Kelseys, solely because of you. Thank you“

“I cannot praise our waitress Maria at The Keg Steakhouse + Bar (Thunder Bay). Never have I ever had such a amazing waitress at the Keg such as her. She was super friendly, and outgoing and despite it being a Saturday night and them being busy she made sure everything was good and checked in on us frequently. My husband and I both agreed she was by far the BEST waitress we ever had there.“

Not many drink options available but still a pretty laid back spot.Shout out to local DJ who plays music and also has karaoke at this place. Makes the whole environment cozy, welcoming and fun. “Need to meet with a few people? Having lunch at The Madhouse is my suggestion to you. They have many light lunch options, and large tables. It is not noisy, but the atmosphere is conducive to a short working meeting.

If a member of that meeting is out of town, The Madhouse is found easily! There is on-site parking and on street parking too. If out of town, there is a bus stop right in front of the building with shade and a bus shelter too.

The servers are well trained! They work with you - just tell them you are having a quick meeting. They will orchestra the serving of food, and it has been my experience, they know when best to bring out the food, etc.

Consider a lunch meeting at the Madhouse. A tasty and productive hour is yours! Where else does that happen at lunch?

“Ordered poached eggs med-hard and got runny, ordered soft bacon and got crispy (near desiccated), paid for side fruit and got fruit nearing end of life (browning, soft). Service was ok … did not ask if everything was good. Just dropped the bill. When I mentioned the fruit was off, she said she would tell the cook but did not remove from bill or offer fresh. Used to love Tina’s. Fresh fruit and so tasty. Really gone downhill. I’ll give the restaurant a D- for food. Waitress was nice, just not willing to see customer satisfaction … I won’t be back.“
