Caribou Restaurant + Wine Bar

Always enjoy our meals at the Caribou however starting to feel that the experience never changes and menu stagnant. Also noise level made conversation challenging. Lovely servers though.

I had the porcini last night and it was beyond delicious and cooked to perfection! Everything from our drinks, to the caesar, to the risotto balls to dessert was outstanding. Our server Gina was awesome as well, very attentive, friendly and professional. We enjoyed every minute and every bite!

Caribou is our favourite place to eat in TBay. Always outstanding food and service. However, it is so noisy and probably nothing can be done about that.

The best food, polished service, and a family gathering of 18 people eating perfectly prepared meals all at the same time - Impeccable!

Overall experience was terrific we haven't been there in a couple years but we're planning on coming more often the only reason I didn't give a five-star for the food was my wife went online to review the menu however the online menu Isn't up to date as far as what was on the menu when we arrived I was looking forward to lamb chops as recommended from some friends was terrific however I had the 8 oz medium rare steak peppercorn sauce it was terrific our server was fantastic looking forward to our next visit

Halibut was extremely good. Steak was cooked to perfection. Side salad with Halibut meal with raw zucchini was a welcomed surprise. Lightly dressed. Halibut was served on a bed of creamed cauliflower thst was so delicious. Definitely recommend it. Steak with creamed mashed and mushrooms was nicely presented. Eat at Caribou. It's the nicest and best restaurant. Service is always impeccable.

This is a must-visit restaurant when you are in Thunder Bay! Ever since we discovered it we make it a point to go whenever we are in the area.

The service is outstanding, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks.

The food and beverages themselves are excellent with a nice variety. We have ordered different items including their salads, their fried seafood, their pastas and pizzas, and their pork chop entree. All were delicious, with the most recent visit in 2024 being for a graduation dinner. All of the items come highly recommended and I urge anyone reading this to check the menu for seasonal specials.

The order from the graduation dinner was: Sleeping Giant Brewery Beer, their caesar salad, their seasonal shrimp special item, the rabbit mafalde pasta, the seafood pasta, and the raspberry creme brulee.

I would rate this more than 5 stars if I could and I will be back!

Cups were unclean because “the cup washer broke”. Food was cold, awful experience

We were a party of nine. Bianca our server was so helpful answering our questions about the menu and accommodating our special requests. The service was beyond impeccable! Bianca was very attentive checking on us frequently, without being pushy. She definitely went above and beyond and with a smile.
We had an amazing dining experience, partly thanks to our wonderful server and we will definitely be back.
And oh yes, the food was top notch too! I definitely recommend the Caribou.

We went for the Trattoria menu and the food was outstanding. James our server was beyond expectations. It was not our first meal at Caribou and will definitely not be our last.

Absolutely delicious food as always!! And Danica (spelling?) was an awesome waitress, it was quite loud but it was a Friday evening so that's to be expected, and the service and food made it all worth it!!

Have not been here in many years. However, they had a limited time Italian Prix Fixe menu dinner. Food was well done and substantial. Portions were excellent. Good wine list but we brought our own wine. Corkage fee is $30. Service was excellent and attentive. Food is always good at Caribou. However, tables are very close together and if busy, can feel very claustrophobic and always noisy, making table conversation challenging. I also feel their corkage to be high.

We both had the 4 course menu and the flat iron steak main. Every course was perfect. The steak and beans were delicious. The meal was very well priced given the quality. Service was great our waitress Sara was really nice. It was my birthday and the glasses of bubbly a nice touch.
