Giorg Cucina e Barra

Attended a private event here most recently. I must confess I was never there before. However after such a great experience in both the food quality, atmosphere and service, I think I found our new go to place in TBay for dining out. Hats off to Giorg Cucina e Barra.

Okay don't get me wrong the food is amazing and the best quality! But the second experience that I had here definitely didn't come close to the first time
Staff were dropping forks on the ground, got elbow in the face and which whatever fine accidents happen....but the fact they added a tip to our bill without asking was kind of a slap in the face ( or an elbow which I got)
I definitely do not think the server should have got a $50 tip on a $200 bill which the sloppy service...
I don't think I would go back to this restaurant with the fact that we are forced to pay a tip when service was not great.. which makes me sad because the food it amazing.
I can't justify paying for crappy service.

I definitely would not recommend.

Not sure whether the food was better than the service. Both were amazing.

Perhaps our new restaurante of choice in Thunder Bay.

I'll admit, i can be hard to please at times, having lived and eaten well in Toronto for 20 years...

This place is one not to miss!

Excellent food and service. You will have a great meal and experience here.

Parking: Go! Especially if you have a hot date or someone you love to go with. Elegant but not over the top.

Happened upon it on our last night in town. What a find- the food was phenomenal (calamari and bolognese), but the true magic was the server- he made the evening. He was impeccable and charming and a rare treasure. Highly recommend!!

Best dining experience in the city! The service went above and beyond and kitchen was so helpful with any requests we had. Our server Marie was so friendly and knowledgeable! Delicious menu and wonderful service

I love coming to Giorg for a special night out. This time I was disappointed with the pasta few pasta choices. I was looking forward to a lemon pasta with veg and or sea food. This concern aside, I will be back.

Our anniversary dinner was outstanding. The servers were so thoughtful and patient, they not only made sure our waters were always full but cleaned our table in between courses to make sure everything was perfect. The food was stellar, every course we had we were in disbelief by how spot on the flavours were for each meal. We will be absolutely coming back, this place is so special. Our waiter like last time was great! He knew I came for the gnocchi! Great dish for sure! We hadn't planned to go out this weekend but when I saw the Instagram post well we said let's early!

There is nothing like Giorg! The food is always fantastic and the portions generous. It's a great atmosphere to celebrate with your partner, friends or family. If you can - ask for Trevor to be your server. He goes above and beyond what's expected of him and always makes our experience even better.

Had been here before and it was great but this night food was under-seasoned and bland. We found the carpaccio too think and gross. Drinks were good and service was good too! We were sat in the middle of the restaurant by the kitchen and a thorough way which was loud and awkward.

Amazing service & excellent food! We didn't realize they closed at 10pm and we had made a reservation for 9pm and they still served us and let us wait safely inside for our ride home!

Food, service and atmosphere are all incredible. A flawless experience.
