Wow! I can't say enough about the service at Giorg. From the greeting upon arrival to being helped into my coat at the end of our evening, the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Trevor, was fantastic - he was attentive, had everything timed beautifully, and he even went out in the terrible cold wind, started our vehicle for us, and backed it up close to the front door of the restaurant. The food was very good and the ambience was lovely, if a little noisy from a boisterous birthday party. We were tucked in a cozy booth on the upper level and our dining experience was great.

We enjoyed a great evening celebrating our anniversary. Staff were outstanding and attentive. We didn't feel rushed in any way and the food was delicious and beautifully presented .

I had a private party in the back rooms. 25 people, cocktail style. The service was exceptional. Janet seamlessly navigated the rooms, knew everyone's name, and remembered drink orders. Marie made amazing cocktails all evening. The food was absolutely delicious. We had antipasto platter, chicken skewers, risotto balls, fried zucchini fritters, fried artichokes, and bruschetta, and it was some of the best food we've ever had. Will absolutely be hosting a gathering there again as soon as possible.

Our party of six enjoyed the comfortable, relaxed setting with excellent, friendly and informative service. To start, the Antipasti Plate with its amazing cheeses was enjoyed by all. Our go-to's were the Caesar Salad, Fettuccine alla Giorg and Rigatoni Bolognese and as always absolutely DELICIOUS! Drinks and the shared dessert were wonderful. Great attention to detail - an exceptional experience once again! Thank You!

Unfortunately my boyfriend and I did not share the same “impeccable service” mentioned in other reviews when we dined here. I made us an 8:30 pm reservation. Upon being seated, we were not greeted by a server for 10+ minutes. It took 30 minutes just to get our drinks. The food was delicious (3 course meal) but it doesn’t make up for the slow service we received. We truly felt as if we were a forgotten table the entire evening. It’s too bad we had a poor experience overall, as we were really looking forward to our date night at Giorg, especially because of the many roaring reviews found on here.

Giorg is by far our favourite restaurant for family occasions and special meals with friends. The staff are extremely professional and obliging. Trevor is an amazing head weighter and it's lovely to see some new faces, too, joining the weight staff. The food is exemplary. Pasta Giorg is a fast favourite, as are the salads and fancy cocktails/fine wines. What stands out is the care taken to oblige the customer - even preparing dishes not advertised on the menu. This is a gem of a restaurant... Service, food, and ambience.

I got this as a present for my mom and I for Xmas and it was a great time really enjoyed going over the recipes with the cheffs I'm a bit of a picky eater so I didn't like everything but I did enjoy a fair amount would definitely go again

Kirk our server was very friendly and informative about the menu. The meals were good, but the carpaccio was sort of disappointing this time. It was cut way too thin in our opinion as we have had it every time we have eaten here.

A diamond of a restaurant in the rough. Still one of my favourite restaurants in Thunder Bay to eat. Located off the beaten path in what was once a busy downtown south business core. Fantastic food, great ambience, competent waiters and competitive prices.

Our server Trevor was excellent. The chicken in the Fettuccine was dry and chewy and the sauce was bland and under seasoned. My short ribs lacked taste and the beef portion was small. Our antipasto board was wonderful. We dine out often and were disappointed.
