“Attended a private event here most recently. I must confess I was never there before. However after such a great experience in both the food quality, atmosphere and service, I think I found our new go to place in TBay for dining out. Hats off to Giorg Cucina e Barra.“

“This restaurant has come back as good as always. The ambiance is fabulous. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. We tried the deep fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, chicken, Parmesan, Italian, stuffed peppers, shrimp, stuffed shells, and gnocchi. Everything was very flavourful. We really liked that you get bread, and a salad included with your meal which these days, is not common. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit for those who haven’t been recently.“

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Nook Italian Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and charm. The food was nothing short of exceptional — true, authentic Italian flavors that transported us straight to Italy.
We started with the burrata served with cherry tomatoes and pesto — fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. For our mains, the pasta dishes truly shined. My husband loved his dish featuring artichokes, Italian sausage, and their house-made pesto sauce — a rich and flavorful combination done just right. I had the rigatoni arrabbiata, and it was incredible — the perfect amount of spice with a beautifully fresh tomato sauce.
Every bite was a delight, and to top it all off, our server Vince made the experience even better. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, he made us feel right at home.

“I've eaten lunch here twice and rate this restaurant a ten out of ten. Service was impeccable and the food is authentically Italian. I had the pasta and rapini with Italian sausage on my second visit. The sauce was flavouful and nuanced. it was served piping hot. Bread is free and abundant. An exquisite experience that transported me to my youth in the seventies when I backpacked through Europe. The server understood my desire to have a slow, leisurely meal--the Italian way--I look forward to returning soon.“

After working a full morning service, Marcy and her amazing team transformed the space beautifully for our afternoon. The food was outstanding. The charcuterie board was stunning and delicious; and every little detail showed such care and professionalism. One thing that touched me deeply was how Marcy served the kids’ table first, without us even asking. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant the world to us. Julia, our bartender/server, was also incredible... kind, funny and always attentive. She made sure everyone was happy. Marcy offered to take photos and shared them right away... something we didn’t realize we’d treasure so much until later. Thanks to her, we have beautiful memories of our dinner when everyone’s phones were away. Everything was flawless from start to finish. “A local favourite lunch spot. NYS has excellent food and great service. I usually just stick with the subs and pizza, both of which are excellent.

Hours are limited, but they're fast and friendly. Highly recommended.

Parking: Meter street parking, but I've never had an issue with finding a spot.“
