We are on a cross Canada journey and had a crazing for Chinese food. Coming from Calgary with a huge Chinese community and amazing food, it was nice to see a well rated Chinese food restaurant here in Thunderbay. We placed our order and drive in to town to pick it up (staying at a local camping ground d). Upon arriving, it was clear that It’s Ling Lee’s 50th anniversary! The restaurant is decorated and the lady at the till is happy and celebrating her 50 years (+8) at the restaurant. We were told that for the month of September (2023), you are provided ballots to enter into your choose of gift baskets. I paid for my takeout order and started to enter all the draws.After arriving home (well to our home on wheels), we dug into the 6 dishes that we ordered. All the food was hot, flavourful and packaged well for transport.Thanks Ling Lee for sharing your food, story and celebration with us on our Journey across Canada.Stop in and try the food. It won’t disappoint.PS: It’s nice to see Gingerbeef east of Calgary on a menu too!

Service was FAST! Hot and sour soup was lovely, lots of pork and veggies. Combo 4 was great! The chicken in the rice and the beef were super tender and the veggies were perfectly crisp. Flavour was awesome. Excellent.

Had a craving for Chinese so ordered some chowmein and sweet and sour chicken balls (poor chickens running around with no balls) Not your conventional Canadian variant but still very delicious. Chicken balls (again ?) although a little over cooked were still good quality and tasty. The sauce looked to be homemade but lacked the sour punch. Yes I would recommend Ling Lee’s.

The best Chinese food I didn’t know I was missing! Chicken balls FULL of chicken, shrimp with the lightest, flakiest batter, beef and greens with tons of beef and they put two chocolate dipped strawberries in the order! They have my business from now on!

Friendly, courteous, and SWIFT service. Staff are very respectful and welcoming. Atmosphere inside the restaurant itself is very inclusive as well. Much appreciated?✨. The cost seems quite fair for the delicious food as well as filling portions. I had the Chicken balls and Shrimp, with rice and egg roll. ?? It’s also nice that packaging and cutlery is “100% compostable”
