Wonderful first experience at this beautiful restaurant! I love that it is an old mansion. We had a lovely server, I wish I learned her name so I could rave about her. The naan bread was delicious. Tons of cool drinks to choose from, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Will definitely be returning :)

This was the absolute best experience, and the food was superb. We enjoyed satay, spring rolls, samosa, lamb korma, green curry…. What an amazing dinner. The pickles were new to me and very good. Mango drinks. The service was so very good too! Thank you so much! It made our day.

Lots of vegan options and everything is very clearly labelled as so. Once a month they have a vegan buffet which is a great treat!

Worst restaurant ever in thunder bay.Even after booking appointment our food was like 1 hour late on table. After taking to the manager or owner of the restaurant she didn’t even apologise for the inconvenience. She just said it’s been busy. Also she didn’t even told that before hand about the situation . We had one of the worst dining experiences at Masala Grill. We booked a table in advance, yet when we arrived, we were left standing at the door without any acknowledgment or proper welcome. After finally being seated, there was absolutely no communication from the server about how long the food would take.
Shockingly, it took over an hour just to get the appetizer. When the food finally came, it was bland, underwhelming, and definitely not worth the outrageous wait. The whole experience felt disorganized and frustrating — poor service, long delays, and food that doesn’t live up to the hype.
Would not recommend. There are much better places in Thunder Bay to spend your time and money.

We ordered for my son's birthday (23) as he really enjoys this place. This would be our first time trying Masala. It did not disappoint!! I was pleasantly surprised how everything tasted so authentic. And even when ordering the food, well let's just say when we placed an order for 5 of us, they were so thankful for placing a larger order and they expressed it many times by thanking us. You don't usually get that excitement with larger establishments. It shows it's a family ran established and they appreciated our business. We will be back for sure!! I can't wait to try the buffet. My son, who frequents that place often told me that the buffet is the same quality of food that we got on our takeout order, so I am definitely looking forward to that.
