Looks like an old diner because it is an old diner. Been going there since the early 1960s. By the time I was buying my own it was $0.50 a burger. Cant be beat.

They have the very best coney dog in the city. The other good places for coney dogs I know don't have dine-in options, like McKellar does. So, really it's only option for me most of time.

Soon to celebrate it's 100th year!!! This is a cornerstone business of this city. It has maintained the same menu, the same care and quality of product, the same vintage appearance that I have come to rely on for as long as I can remember!!! When so many things are continually changing, it's nice to be able to step back in time even if just for a moment!!! :)

Had a great Coney Burger and fries here. The small order of fries is easily sharable for 2-3 people. Anytime I'm in Thunder Bay I make a point of coming here.

I can respect what they're doing with this restaurant and the history. The culture and people here are what make the place great. Everyone is treated like friends and there seem to be a lot of repeat customers and a great community built up. I like how they have a limited menu so you know what you're getting each time.

The coney dogs and fries were very good, but I was not impressed by the burgers here - kind of wet and sloppy. As someone who hasn't eaten here before, I would have preferred something like a grilled or smashed burger. But I can see people coming back for the nostalgic flavors and experiences they grew up around.

I can't believe how small a small fries actually is and how it cost me over $7 and if I wanted gravy that's an extra $4!!!!!!!! These prices are insane and not worth the food even if is good.

I've been coming here for years, the coney sauce is undeniably unmatched. I could sit here and eat cheeseburgers all day and still crave them. I live out in Alberta but as soon as I'm in town I come and see Maria and pig out on the burgers lol. The staff is amazing, so friendly. I love the fact that the menu and the recipes remain unchanged for decades. Love coming here! I always will return here
