The atmosphere got its stars from the southern fried wings. They're so good, you know the atmophere is bone standard: every-towns-best-joint-modern, < inspired by the inside of an abandoned motel on the outskirts of a 400 person mining town. Thats how you identify the best place for wings in any town though.
so why did google ask a question like how's how's the atmosphere? Might as well ask about the single malt selection at petro-canada, if somebody asks you that, check if they can raise both arms above their head...

It was -30 C and around 9 pm. I had 28 minutes to wait for the bus, and so not to be another unsolved death, I walked across the street to find this wonderful bar. More importantly, the young lady made a fresh pot of coffee for me. REMEMBER THIS when you are waiting at the temporary bus depot.
She was a life saver, and after huddling around the coffee cup's warmth, my humanity returned, and had only two minutes to wait for the bus. Thank you for being there, and making the best coffee!
Overall though, it is a nice bar with a few small groups avidly watching a game, and others are playing pool. Easy to chat with someone, and the large tables make a group function an easy thing to do. I will need to go back with some friends.

If I could I would give 0 stars. No accommodations to my disabilities. Made me move around 3 times for just one drink and finally when I told her I'm disabled with a service dog I was told not to raise my voice. Loser bar with loser staff. Never will I come back here . Will be calling the manager as well

Great food. If you like to sample local beers...try the Pilsner in tap. Wish they sold it in the USA!
Amazing wings. Mitch’s medium. I went in the afternoon it wasn’t too busy and they honestly served me the most beautiful steaming hot basket of hot wings. The smell is hardwired in my brain. Walking distance from the good hotels and the casino.

Unlike other reviews, I had no issues at will with the service and I'm definitely not a local... service was prompt and friendly though it was a busy night with a Stanley Cup Finals game going on. Didn't try the Food, though they did have free Popcorn. Drinks were reasonably priced and a few Pool tables made it a fun place to hang out... would definitely recommend.

I share the same views as others. If you're not from Thunderbay you're not welcome. Bartender walked by me for 15mins serving other customers before me while I'm sitting at the bar. I get it. It's a dive bar but man. My hotel is located right next door you should be eager for new faces for good business.
