Dawson Diner is that hidden gem you wish you found sooner. Perfect Eggs Benedict, a fresh cheesecake that actually tastes homemade, and staff who treat you with real warmth. Highly recommend.

Our server was courteous and spoke clearly. If only the food were as pleasant. One of our party had salisbury steak, but who puts turkey gravy on beef? And the gravy was pretty weak to boot. I had the pork chops, which were thin, dry, and very salty. The vegetables were obviously from frozen, and likely thawed out and put in a steamer three days ago. They crumbled when I brought my fork near them and were without flavour or texture. The potatoes were dry. Our other party member had the Novemburger, which got an 'okay', but the fries were from frozen. Really, I can make frozen fries and veggies at home, I don't want them if I am going to go out and paying for a meal.
So yea, service and atmosphere was great, but the food wasn't even worth finishing.

Oh my ! We both had clubhouse sandwiches on rye for lunch. One Greece salad side and one sweet potato fry. These lunches looked good and were very tasty .
We NEEDED desert . Lol
One blueberry and one cherry pie.
Listen, we'll stop here without hesitation.
It's clean , fresh and modern .

Stopped in enroute to the lake for an early lunch. I had a Clubhouse with Fries and my buddy had a Denver with Fries. Real food with great service! The perfect spot!

Great food I had the lumberjack breakfast. Forgot to get picture of the meal but here’s my empty plate. Will be back again. The service was great friendly staff and only waited about 10 mins for our order.

Waiter didn't check on us once. Didn't fill drinks. Didn't even get my order right. She seemed to not even care we were in one of her sections. The food was too mid for that treatment.

We were driving from Manitoba and were looking for a family diner with home cooking. This place delivered. It wasn’t much to look at from the outside but the inside looked like it was fully renovated. The service and the food were top notch. Highly recommend.
