I visited Dawson Diner this morning with high hopes, as I had heard great things and was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, my initial experience was less than welcoming. Upon arriving, one of the waitresses—an older woman with grey hair—opened the door in my face without any acknowledgment or apology. She then looked at me with a dismissive or unfriendly expression, which set a disappointing tone for my visit.

That said, I want to emphasize that the food itself was excellent—the Lappe Lumberjack breakfast was hearty and delicious. It's clear the kitchen staff puts care into their work.

I truly hope this encounter was not reflective of the overall service culture at Dawson Diner. A warm welcome goes a long way in hospitality, and I hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience for others.

Delicious food and friendly service will be again someday. 😊

This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere. From the decor to the staff, everything was excellent. I had a Reuben sandwich and my husband had Double-D burger. Both were delicious comes with a side of soup or salad.
We will be going again.

Went for early dinner at 4 o’clock. Not very many patrons.
The food took a long time to arrive had a Turkey club with fries
The toast was burnt and the fries cold my partner had a hot Turkey very little Turkey on the sandwich and again cold fries
Would not recommend this place we will not go back.

Great food and service every time

Renovations are gorgeous. However, service was not very good. Waitress did not check on us at all and we had to flag her down to ask for a coffee refill, and a box for left overs. It was not busy. Maybe 3 other tables on a Sunday afternoon. Food also took a very long time to come out. Close to an hour for eggs and toast. I think they use well water as well because it has a very strong taste. Probably will not return.

I had breakfast at Dawson Diner today. The food was great as usual and I loved the new look after their renovations. The place feels fresh and well-maintained. However, the service could be improved. It didn’t feel very attentive to the tables. Still, I enjoyed the food and the new setup a lot!

A group of us went to Dawson Diner for lunch today. Love the new look, so bright and inviting. The service was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the amazing food. Great taste, good portion size we will definitely go back again.
