The rain is relentless, each drop a tiny hammer against my threadbare coat. I pull it tighter around me, but it's little use. The cold has already seeped into my bones. Around me, my family trudges on, their faces illuminated by the flickering streetlights, each step a testament to our desperation. We're scavengers in our own city, hunting for scraps in the bins, hoping for a forgotten loaf of bread or a bruised apple. The smell of wet garbage fills the air, mingling with the distant scent of rain-soaked asphalt.
Suddenly, a beacon appears through the downpour – the warm, inviting glow of a Taco Time. It's a mirage, surely? But no, it's real. A walk-in, still open, its windows fogged with warmth. We stumble towards it, drawn by the promise of shelter and maybe, just maybe, a hot meal.
Inside, the air is thick with the aroma of spices and grilled meat. The fluorescent lights hum a comforting tune, and the warmth washes over us like a gentle wave. A kind-faced employee sees our soaked, weary faces and offers us a table. We huddle together, grateful for the simple sanctuary. The rain continues to batter the windows outside, but here, inside Taco Time, we are safe. We are a family, together, and for tonight, at least, we are saved.

Horrible, they picked shot out of my food, son one guy made my order and another girl noticed strips of some sort were not supposed to be on it so she picked them out by hand? Without changing gloves after touching numerous other stuff and they though that was ok, then ask if I wanted it remade….i have severe anxiety and severe allergies so I asked what it was they picked out (knowing what I ordered was safe for me to eat not extra shit) but I was made to feel like I was on the wrong and with anxiety and a bunch of ppl waiting for orders I said whatever it is what it is and ledt and threw out what I spent not knowing if I trusted it, there one girl there that is amazing but if she not there I’m not sure if I will be back as I’m not sure what was picked out of my order but when they treat you horribly for calling them out I was full on panic mode and left, you can find my two bowls by the entrance garbage and I won’t be back

Taco Time have the best food in terms of quality and much reasonable in terms of the price compared to many fast foods. Get this: you order a burger from A&W for $10 and you get hungry after a couple of hours yet you get a burrito or 3 tacos( Tuesdays) cheaper and you feel full after.

Cathy is an awesome person, and worker…and all of her employees will tell you, as they told me, that they love her, as their manager!! I think she is truly a valuable employee, always going above and beyond her job description, helping a customer every time, I’ve been there to get food!! 😊👍 She’s always so pleasant and professional too! She and all of her employees deserve a raise for how efficient they are!! 😊👍

Its what you would expect from taco time. The employees are pleasant, the loaded mexi fries are decently made and still of a somewhat reasonable portion. Highly recommend over the arthur st location It also seems to always be clean and quiet
My 11 year old son and I drove from Kingston to Red Lake and ate at Taco Time during our stop in Thunder Bay.
My son enjoyed it so much he asked me to write a review before we even left.
He says the food is very good and filling, it’s very clean and he likes the music. He was most impressed with the service we received when ordering. The excellent service was the first thing he pointed out as the cashier was so accommodating while we were ordering.
We haven’t left yet and he’s already talking about coming back 😊
