I wanted my family member to try a Persian since I have had many over the years. They had a few different flavors to choose from including the original, blueberry, and another berry option. We went with the original and the blueberry.
As you can see from the photos, this batch looked a little light on the icing, which took away from the overall experience compared to what I remember. The blueberry was not very good and I would not order it again, but the original tasted the way it should. If there had been a bit more icing on top, it would have been better.
Overall, Persian's are not quite as hyped as I remembered. These days I think there are other desserts I would reach for first instead.

Had to try the Thunder Bay Persian, and hollands was closed so we came here. Overall I’d say the Persian was okay, but nothing mind blowing. I’ve had better baked goods but that’s likely not due to the Persian Man at all. Prices were very reasonable and the other bakery items like cannolis etc were solid.

Was driving through thunder bay and heard the Persian buns here were a must try. Was not disappointed! Super cheap too and delicious. Frosting was light, sweet and airy. I think they whip it to incorporate air to get the texture?? Was amazing

The thing I miss most about living in Thunder Bay is persians (other than family, of course). I learned that if you wantto order a dozen to travel with, you should order them the day before. I lucked out and they had some in the freezer, but you need to keep them frozen because they don't re-freeze well. We had to rush them back to my mom's place to get them in the freezer. It'll be worth it though, when I bring them home to Saskatoon!
