Was recommended this location by the thunder bay tourist information building by the Terry Fox monument. The icing was in fact all that. The woman serving us was a little unnecessarily rude when I called the Persian a "Persian donut". I mean... c'mon. Even further down THIS PAGE, Google review asks what I purchased and it called them "Persian donuts". Thank you, but, no thank you. The cannoli needed a bit of work. They were a little soft.
We’ve heard lots about the Persians so we stopped in to buy some. The staff was quite friendly and quick. We bought 6 Persian doughnuts for $8 + tax. They’re bread-y, slightly cinnamon-y and the icing wasn’t too sweet. I think that’s exactly how a Persian is supposed to taste so 2 thumbs up!!! ????
I learned that if you wantto order a dozen to travel with, you should order them the day before. I lucked out and they had some in the freezer, but you need to keep them frozen because they don't re-freeze well. We had to rush them back to my mom's place to get them in the freezer. It'll be worth it though, when I bring them home to Saskatoon!
