I was apprehensive due to location. Its very dark in the restaurant. But the owners quickly made me feel welcome. I went for a lunch. It was quick great service with a smile. I have eaten Many Many different Jamaican j*** chicken, complete with peas and rice. Its my favorite dish. This dish was definitely up there for flavor profile. Authentic flavor and delicious taste. Highly recommend stopping in for a plate even for a lunch. Chicken was moist and spiced amazingly. My only complaint would be I would have liked more sauce on the rice because it was so good. Peas and rice tasted great as well. satisfied customer. Also had a paddy. was delicious.

We LOVE the curry goat here and the kids love the mild chicken stew. Great flavour not overly salty or spicy but still distinctively spiced. The price and portion sizes are very good.

Kid-friendliness: Chicken stew is tender, mild, not too salty. Also my kids love the rice n pea here. They eat it all.

The rice and peas was mush, it teased spoil and smelled even the chicken which wasn't jerked but baked!!The plain rice was iight, however; it was topped with curry goat sauce which i DIDN'T ask for.THE FESTIVAL IT WAS slightly burnt and need to be sweeten but you can gwann eat it

Parking: Located at the back

Got the j*** pork and rice for dinner. Pork was dried out, fatty and flavorless. Rice was mush like porridge. Order arrived a little to fast. Seems like a microwave was involved. Absolute dog food. Then again my dog certainly deserves better.

Im writing this review while I eat, Absolutely amazing food. Im floored. Also Doug is a very genuine and down to earth guy ?? Portions and flavour are big here. Ox Tail and curry goat is unreal

This place is fantastic. The older couple running the spot always so welcoming.Don’t forget to ask for some curry chicken gravy on your j*** chicken and thank me later.

This is best Jamaican restaurant in Thunder Bay. I have tried the others and was not impressed. The oxtail dinner was delicious, flavourful and spicy. The j*** pork is the highlight, tender and spiced nicely. The plantian was ripe. They pay attention to detail and don't try to change traditional Jamaican cuisine. They stay true to their roots. They are also friendly. It was a wonderful meal.

Am not satisfied with the food. The rice is cooked like a baby rice and oxtail smell horrible like days they just serve it any how. Very disappointed will not order again from this place. You can do better.

Store smells like pee. Food taste like it’s from a can, not made fresh. Never go here, go ANYWHERE else

I hate giving anything 1 star... however, coming from someone who grew up eating Jamaican food, this food is extremely bland. The flavours are lacking and there is absolutely no spice, even for someone who doesn't take well with spice, they didn't find it was great either.Hoping it was just the large meal order that we got, but with how bland it was, it doesn't make me want to spend the money to try again. Sorry!

I tried Jamaican food for the first time, I will be visiting this place more often now. One of the best food I’ve had in a TBay restaurant.I had the goat curry with roti and it was delicious.! Must try !
