Edit: I have been coming here on occassion and normally tip, however, now I'm wondering why the tip machine prompts start at 15%? To get to this place I have to find parking, pay for parking and walk to the counter myself. Having the tip machine start at 15% is a bit excessive. I decided to skip on tipping today, as I felt I had already spent enough and to be honest, i was annoyed that the machine was suggesting I tip over $8 on my order, so I skipped tipping entirely today. The tipping culture has gotten out of control.

Amazing pastries. I particularly love the chocolate croissant and cardamon bun (available seasonally). Coconut bun is also delicious. Cappuccino is excellent. Staff and owner always welcoming.

Everything I've ever had at Uncommon Baked Goods has become my new favourite treat - which is why I ordered a custom cake from them for my wedding. It was probably a shorter turnaround than most custom orders, but it turned out absolutely fantastic. I seriously could not have asked for a better cake or a better experience.

This is the best baking in town. The creativity of the owner and pastry chef is unparalleled in Thunder Bay. I've been told by more than one person that the croissants are the best they've had. I cannot wait for the Christmas goodies and stocking stuffers! The lumps of coal and caramels are incredible.

Uncommon baked goods has become a Sunday tradition for my family! Grabbing a delicious cup of coffee every time we come here and being greeted in such a friendly way! Place is always clean and tidy and has delicious desserts. Would recommend to anyone looking for a tasty and warm cup of coffee. Hope to see them in a store some day ?
