Breakfast is absolute garbage. Have to wait 10 mins for the lady to come seat you. Potatoes are at least 3 days old. If you order rye bread they give you the small ends. Very expensive for sub par food and awful service.

In their defence, it was Christmas Day so the staff are likely to be those with the lease seniority/experience. My wife is a server and even she noticed the servers were not the fastest. The food did come fast, but it was not worth the money spent. If you charge for a higher end meal, you should deliver it.

Three of us were here in late October for dinner. The prices were high for the portions of food. The chicken burger looked like a slider, I had a chicken club and fries, which was fine.Service was poor, our server disappeared, and our second order of drinks never came.We went to the bar, and it was difficult to get service.The exception was the gentleman who was the bartender. He not only provided good service but he made really excellent cocktails.

Thirty dollar plate plus tax .4 wedge potatoes, five pieces carrot, small dried out piece salmon . No butter no sauce no comfort eating.!!!

Thanks, Joe, for the custom playlist of music during my dinner in the bar area.For those who are new, you have to walk through the bar to get to the restaurant.The bar was warm, lively, and comfortable. It is the kind of place where you can meet other guests and share a drink.They even had non-alcoholic options like Ginger Beer, which made me very happy.The food I would describe as higher end pub grub. And the crunchy fries and chicken burger were good.After reading the bar reviews before going, I was happily surprised.If you drink alcohol, ask Joe for a shot of Baby Guinness ... it's not what you think, and the patrons seemed to really enjoy!

I came here looking to find a classy restaurant and particularly a good steak dinner. Boy, was I surprised. My first impression was red neck all the way. Seats for one were in dire need of new upholstery, service was from an angry looking bartender/waiter who didn't seem to care I was a customer. He looked like he was giving me the greatest favour by serving me, when in fact his attitude stunk. He acted more like the bouncer of a bar, looking to throw someone out. My meal took the longest time to get to me. In the back of my mind, I was thinking I would be getting a cold meal and very well some of it was. I had 3 small pieces of cold cauliflower and broccoli and about 4 small potatoes that were barely well cooked. Steak looked much smaller than a 10 onz steak. It was a joke and this needs to be mentioned! It goes to say I did not leave this bartender/waiter a tip nor to the cooks that don't know how to cook well. I will not be going back and do not recommend the place to anyone!!! Do not let the fancy name of Skål Restaurant fool you! There is no sophistication to this place. The only good thing I noticed was the 80s music playing in the background lol

Was nervous by some of the reviews and a quick look at facilities… but our minds were changed. We stayed at Hampton inn next door and rode in on motorcycles so we wanted something close and could walk to.Our sever was Susan and she provided great service and was a great story teller. Food was all delicious.
Waited 45 minutes for breakfast only to be told they are closing and I had to go somewhere else… what?!

Enjoyed a really nice brunch here this week with friends (morning of April 18). Had never been before. Server was wonderful - our group had a reservation for 11 am so she asked the kitchen to allow us to order from the breakfast menu if desired. She also asked us if any in our party had a peanut allergy, before she brought condiments to the table. Menu prices seemed a little high, but on the other hand, we've had inflation. Portions were large so that made up for it. Entire party was pleased with the brunch in Skal's lovely Nordic setting.
