Best sushi in town!

The restaurant moved my reservation to a different time which was totally fine, then when I arrived they seated another party and told me I could eat elsewhere because they wrote my reservation for 6 when i actually Requested 5. Poor service.

Good Sushi is hard to find in the Thunder Bay area, but this place was good. While I was there they had a buffet and a regular menu, I chose the regular menu. The beer was cold, the soft shell crab was delicious, and I had the kamikaze roll, which was good. It was very busy, so I think that means very good food for a good price.
Will go there again the next time I'm in the area.

Had dinner at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant with a few friends and it was a great experience from start to finish. The food was flavorful and well-prepared — my friend had the sashimi, which was fresh and beautifully presented, I went with the Thai green chicken curry that had a nice kick to it, and another friend had the wonton soup, which they really enjoyed. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot worth coming back to.

The Sushi is amazing, the server perfectly nice :) we enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back!

First time for me and it was a very enjoyable evening!!!! Excellent food & service. I will return.

Overall poor experience. Bad sushi, bad service and the owner is a rude person. Would not recommend

Had a reservation 5 have people and they refused to sit us cause their staff wrote down 6 instead and after we arrived they realizing their mistake then sat another group of 5 at are table right in front of us and told us to go somewhere else and wait another hour for a table after already waiting 3 hours for are table. terrible place and service.

great all you can eat sushi and service!

Went in for dine in on a busy night;
But was able to get seated in 15mins and food was served quickly too.
Server Thomas was really nice and friendly.
Loved the sushi
And they recently started the all you can eat too.
Crunchy rolls were my favourite and also loved the Gyoza.
I think its one of the best place to have sushi in thunderbay.

I just ordered takeout from this place, and I was absolutely shocked by the portion sizes. I got three scallop nigiri, and as you can see from the picture, the size is ridiculous—yet they charge $3.75 each! Just a couple of days ago, I ordered scallop nigiri from Osaka Sushi for $2.95 each, and it came with a huge, whole scallop. The difference is night and day.

I also ordered the Papa Ken Roll ($15.95), and once again, the portion was shockingly small. I usually don’t complain about food, but this honestly feels like getting robbed.

I was so frustrated—I had a long day and just wanted a good meal. I ended up going to Osaka Sushi again for their scallop nigiri. You can see the comparison in the blue box—the difference speaks for itself!

I’m not unreasonable, and if this was a mistake by Wasabi’s staff, the owner is welcome to contact me. I’m open for discussion.

Been coming here for years with my friends. We were so excited for AYCE to come back and had a great time. The exact same menu as before and similar price despite I’m sure higher costs everywhere. Our server Tom was great as usual! Speed wasn’t too bad either considering it was insanely busy! Can’t wait to come again!

Went with a large group of friends on one of the first nights of the return of AYCE sushi last week - everything was fabulous! Despite the restaurant being incredibly busy, our waiter Thomas was attentive and kind! The food came out quickly and tasted delicious. We have come to Wasabi with this group many times, and each time Thomas provides top-tier service. He always remembers us and makes our experience feel so personal! He is certainly one of the reasons we keep coming back. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant - the food and the people are wonderful.

Went there a few days ago for the AYCE special with some friends. Despite being +++ busy as expected. The team there went above and beyond to make sure everything was looked after. The quality of the sushi was amazing as usual, fresh, and came out quickly despite the amount of patrons. Thomas our server was absolutely first class and worked his tail off all evening making sure everyone was satisfied. Couldn’t say enough positive things about the staff and service. If you go to Wasabi and have Thomas looking after you, you will not be disappointed. Excellent job as always Wasabi!
