Visited there on a Sunday afternoon, was absolutely dead inside. Got seated and to my surprise the 3 things I wanted to order were out of stock. I think it’s appropriate to tell the customer what you’re out of before they are seated and get comfortable. Anyway, got the burger, and it was super dry. Was just ok. And the ridiculous service charge if you pay by credit card. Won’t be back, better options everywhere

Very atmospheric institution, gives a feeling of involvement in the ancient Canadian history on Bloor ))). Great beer, very nice service. I definitely recommend visiting there

A traditional local pub. We always enjoy coming here for a drink and some food.Menu is always changing and is in line with typical pub food.Staff is always friendly although pub does get busy, so be patient.Fantastic patio and large indoor dining area.

Pretty expensive for a dried, hard chicken club at a place where it should stand out. "You had one job.."

Zero stars if possible. Met the most ignorant man/employee I’ve ever come across, pushing his way out the front door with beers in hand telling us to get out of his way; assuming he was a drunk patron we shrugged it off, then minutes later same said gremlin tells us to get out of his way again, as we are looking at the menu standing at the bar. Surprised at the same angry little man shouting at us we decided to leave. As we left he followed us shouting at us that we were the problem. I just hope and pray he earns enough to afford therapy. We will not be back.

The staff are friendly, the menu extensive and each day of the week they offer a special deal on drinks or food. They host events such as trivia and have a large patio with covered sections as well as many tables indoors. Check it out if you're in the neighborhood!

Decent wings nice beers but incredibly rude staff. Far more concerned with turning tables quickly than encouraging their patrons to have a good time. Not ever going back.

Eggs Benedict excellent. Caesar salad was average at best. The dressing was Not mixed evenly and croutons were added on top. I think it should all be tossed to evenly coat the salad and croutons with dressing. Added chicken, it was a good portion but dry and probably cooked a few hours before I ordered it, then warmed up. Not great.Eating out in Toronto is certainly expensive these days; this is a "pretty basic" pub place and the lunch/brunch cost $70 for 2 entrées and 1 drink each. Pricey! No wonder the patio was mostly empty (Saturday) so dead atmosphere. Also lots of wasps (hornets) this time of year, not good!Parking: Parking is always a challenge on Bloor. We found a spot close by on side street. This is your best option and is free.

My wife and I had fish and chips. It was terrible. Waisted $50. I would sit there to have a beer but would not spend a penny on food.

Remarkable food!It certainly stands out amongst its contemporaries.TRY THE GRILLED CHICKEN WINGS!Also, the coconut shrimp was indeed the best I have ever had.The seats were not comfortable, but they weren't back breaking either. That's an easy fix.A plus is the table didn't wobble. A wobbling table ruins it for me, so good on them for a sturdy table. The lighting was fine, and unique, definite points for that. The server and the hosts were competent, but not a smile to be found. I certainly didn't feel welcome. Maybe someone died, and they're grieving??? Who knows. All in all, I highly recommend this place, entirely on the food quality. If the food wasn't that good, I'd most certainly give it a one star rating.
