Always a good time at Anejo. Happy that I was able to celebrate my birthday there. They were able to accommodate my large group with no hassle.
We had a great dinner on Wednesday, December 3rd, and lunch on Friday, December 5th. In both cases we were well served by Ross. Food was great, and we are looking forward to returning during the holiday season!
It was an amazing experience we had a party of 8. The upstairs was very full and so we got put in private dining which honestly was the best thing. We were able to hear each other and have a good conversation.
Server was good - very personable. However, had to ask multiple times to have water refilled and never brought napkins though out the night. Such a basic and strange item to forget considering most food is being consumed with hands. Hostess (wearing a nude coloured too) was very rude and not friendly.
Amazing place to go out with friends. Happy hour menu is a must try. Pleasant servers and great layout, 100% recommend
Añejo never disappoints. The food is delicious especially the guacamole with chips and tacos. Happy hour is not only for drinks as well for food(tacos). The DJ was great!
Last night’s tequila tasting event at Añejo (11954 104 Ave NW, Edmonton) was simply exceptional — a perfect blend of refinement, fun, and genuine Mexican hospitality. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. Ambiance & Venue Añejo’s space is bold yet welcoming. The decor channels the vibrant heart of Mexico — think warm hues, intricate Day of the Dead motifs, and tasteful agave-inspired design touches. The lighting strikes a balance: soft enough to feel intimate, but lively enough to keep the energy high. The room for the tasting felt curated and upscale, ideal for both casual tequila lovers and serious aficionados. Tequila Selection With over 200 varieties of tequila, Añejo boasts one of the most impressive agave spirit collections in Canada. Their tequila menu spans blancos, reposados, añejos, and more — catering to every palate. For the tasting, they offered a carefully curated flight, pairing each pour with a short story about its origin, aging process, and tasting notes. The knowledgeable tequila sommeliers were absolutely on point — warm, passionate, and clearly very well-informed. Food Pairings No tequila goes alone at Añejo — the food matched the sophistication of the drinks. We started with their tableside guacamole, which was fresh, vivid, and deliciously zesty. It set the tone perfectly for the rest of the evening. I posted the menu For dessert, they surprised us with a Peach Flan — a velvety custard with preserved peach and chile honeycomb, paired with a beautifully sweet tequila that rounded off the evening on a warm, comforting note. Service & Expertise Andy our server was exceptional! Nelvin the General Manager was friendly and accommodating Service was impeccable throughout. The tequila sommelier guiding us was not only knowledgeable but also personable — explaining complex flavor profiles in a way that was engaging (and never condescending). Our server was attentive, timing food courses perfectly so we could savor each sip, and was always ready with top-ups and explanations. Value At CA$100 a person (for this particular tequila dinner event), the price felt justified — you’re paying for more than food and drink; you’re paying for an experience. According to Añejo’s OpenTable listing, this particular tasting (with El Tequileño) included a curated 4-course dinner plus a welcome cocktail, which felt like a great deal for a guided premium tequila experience. Overall Impression Añejo’s tequila tasting event is not just a night out — it’s an education wrapped in celebration. Whether you’re a tequila newbie or a seasoned drinker, you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the craft, a happy palate, and memories of a truly elevated evening. Highly recommended for anyone in Edmonton looking to experience tequila culture authentically, deliciously, and stylishly
Fun family dinner, restaurant was a bit quiet but it was Sunday night so understandable. Service and food were great!
The server and the whole staff was so not engaged and we have to ask couple of times to get our drinks
Amazing food and our server was fantastic! Guacamole made fresh at your table! Soooooo delicious!

We always love it at Anejo. Our server made excellent drink recommendations. Food is always good (we usually get a mixture of the premium tacos - highly recommend the mahi-mahi!). And the appetizers are excellent (table side Guac is a must). Will be back soon
Not so expressive with quality of foods , mussels was too salty , breads was too burn , taco taste weird , cocktail mango margaritas was to sour and not sure will going back again.
Anejo was recommended to me and I was looking forward to it. I am not a huge fan of Mexican food, or spicy food for that matter, but wanted to try. The restaurant was empty when we arrived for lunch at 12:30: I was surprised. The server was very pleasant and helpful, and service was good, but I found that if you didn't want to add any of the spicy sauces, there wasn't much flavour to the mahi-mahi taco I had, and when we asked for tea/coffee, we were informed that there was only one kind of tea...Tetley...and no decaf coffee, only regular. For one shared appetizer (the mushroom flauta, which I enjoyed more than the main) and two mains, I paid close to $100 for this meal, including tax and tip. To me, that is very extravagant for lunch for two. I'm sorry to say I was disappointed.
5pm reservation. There was a lovely atmosphere in the enclosed patio but not too busy. Servers were very friendly and knowledgeable . Food was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Our server Turkana was amazing. So nice, she explained everything so nicely. She made us feel welcomed and got us the best dishes.
