I ordered from Abogida through Uber Eats. The food came in a cardboard container, not plastic, and it was leaking. The container is not safe—please use proper plastic containers that are microwave safe so we can reheat easily this was disappointing.
I was really hoping to find a new spot as I’ve eaten at every Ethiopian resto on Danforth dozens of times.
I will never go back to this place.
The doro wot was waaaaaaay over spiced, not in a spicy way, just in a way that made it taste acidic and overbearing. The raw kitfo was decent, as was the shiro. But everything else was mediocre. Unfortunately my stomach started to hurt and I had to go.
Other than that the music was extremely loud and the place was basically empty except for some guys drinking.

A Hidden Gem!
Abugida Lounge is an absolute gem! Good job, Elsa! The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic—every bite feels like a celebration of culture and tradition. The Ethiopian injera (Extra $$$) is soft and fresh, and the combination platters are perfect for sharing and trying a bit of everything.
The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxed—perfect for both casual dinners and nights out. My favorite is the taste of the food; it resembles homemade food, the way I like it. We tried the quanta, cornis, & meat combo multiple times and were not disappointed on any occasion; the portion sizes were generous! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy delicious Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine in a warm and friendly setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Best Ethiopian in Toronto !! Very distinct spicing.. especially loved the Doro Wat and Shiro Wat.. but all of it was excellent :)
Good food but horrible price ads. Prices are actually a lot higher than their website. For example, meat combo actually is $10 higher. Disappointed
This restaurant sold a Groupon and would not honor it. Claims the know nothing about it when it is still being actively sold on the site

I tried Abugida a couple of days ago. Generally speaking it was a good experience.
I ordered the veggies (3 entries) and meat (2 entries) combination called Chembelala. They all were tasty. Ethiopian restaurants never dissappointed me in terms of flavour.
Why am I giving only 4 stars then?
In my first bite there was a piece of bone. Good thing it didn't break my teeth. I reported that to the server who delivered my message to the chef since there wasn't a manager nor supervisor.
