Just wanted to leave a review that we came on a Friday at about 1pm. Although both on google maps and their physical sign at the restaurant say they're open, they weren't. I'm not sure why though. We were looking forward to eating here!

Our second time to this place for lunch and we are dazzled by the food. We ordered the vegetarian platter for two, and each of the six different foods on the injera had a unique and full flavour. Definitely the best Ethiopian food we have ordered anywhere. And very modestly priced. The service was friendly, warm, wonderful. We live about 90 minutes from Toronto, and this place is worth the trip!

LOVE this place! I used to eat here regularly when I lived in the city; so now that I live more than an hour away, making a visit to Abyssinia is a MUST every time I am anywhere nearby. This is absolutely, hands down, the BEST Ethiopian food in the city, no comparison. Sanadoo is amazing at what she does! Her Berbere sauce is in a league of its own, I am a massive fan of the vegetarian platter, can't seem to get enough (I am not a vegetarian, that may tell you something😆)....
