Excellent restaurant. My favorite. The salad was good but I don't care for raisins and cranberries in my salad. Fish is fantastic.
Highly recommended especially for their menu and wine selection and wonderful service. I quite enjoyed my seafood stew, poached pear dessert and glass of vinho verde.
We got lucky on a Sunday and were the only customers. I think we got served by the owner. Such warm family style service. The decor, the music the ambience felt so authentic. And lastly the food was mouth watering. He did something special for my friend’s birthday. Highly highly recommend.
Had the Tiger Shrimp, Squid which rival the best in the city. So delicious.

Outstanding service and fantastic food. I recommend the shrimp risssois, the grilled lamb, the field mushrooms risotto... we were especially grateful to the gentleman who graciously informed us that we were in danger of missing the curtain at The Elgin Theatre at 7:30. This is the second time in recent weeks that we have dined here and both meals and service were exceptional
Charming, intimate dining with authentic Portuguese food and wine. Couvert, appetizers and mains were well prepared and beautifully presented. Dimitri made the evening special with professional, warm service and helpful suggestions informed by his knowledge of the cuisine of his native Portugal. Adega is a wonderful find on a small, quiet street in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Lovely ambience and decor. Friendly service but rather off putting having our waiter sniffing all the time (did he have a cold - we are rather germ averse!0. good wine selection and the fish dishes were excellent as was dessert.
Cocktails really bad, slow service, ok food. Not worth the price

Had a light lunch with a friend and everything was smooth from start to finish. Friendly maître d' who seated us right away, quick service and flavorful food. Our server checked in at the right times and prices were reasonable for a downtown spot. Would happily return.
Great service from the moment you walked in till the time you left. Delicious fresh food served at the perfect temperature. Or waiter was very helpful, polite and attentive. Great night overall! Thank you!

Came here for summerlicious! I loved being able to try various things on the menu. The octopus was good but it was just pretty plain. The veggies needed some seasoning. Salad was delicious, and so was the tartar. I loved the sardines and how they were paired. Yum!
Food was cooked to perfection

During a recent business trip to Toronto, I had the opportunity to dine at this amazing Portuguese restaurant. My colleague and I weren’t planning on having a big meal, but after looking at the menu, we couldn’t resist. I had one of the daily specials: medallion of cod with roasted potatoes and veggies, and my companion had the wild mushroom risotto. The food was out of this world - both in presentation and in flavour. The service makes you feel like royalty and so does the atmosphere. We couldn’t leave the place without having an order of “pastels de nata” - absolutely delicious!
Yes - we did pay a bit more than you would at an average restaurant, but the value was extraordinary. I will definitely come back next time I’m in town. Don’t miss it!
