Super knowledgeable about their product and very friendly with answering questions. Got some Great Lake trout and can’t wait to go back and eat dinner!
Had dinner here with friends, ended up having a private dining experience that was unforgettable. Best fish I’ve ever eaten.
I am big fan of Affinity. I recently attended to their butchery school and I was so impressed about the whole knowledge of the Chef Jon, as japanese cook I was so impressed of his knowledge and passion. Even more, this place worked in terms of sustainability and responsibility. Of course, their dry aged fish, is very good. I took 2 trouts to my house and was tender and crispy. 5/5
かんしゃしています Chef Jon!
a unique Canadian omakase experience
Undoubtedly the best gastronomic experience I’ve had in Toronto in the whole month I have been here. Fresh product and soft way to cook it. Not only a good place to eat in but also to have a complete gastronomic experience. Good value. I highly recommend it!
best lunch ive had in the city, cant wait to try their dinner
I attended the Caviar omakase for Valentine’s Day. The service was friendly, and informative. We loved the sake butter caviar sauce and the fish sandwiches with ponzu. They were very unique and tasty. However, none of the portions were generous. I also did not appreciate that the last dish in a caviar omakase was mushroom rice of all things. It came across like the restaurant being cheap and trying to fill us up with rice and veggies because they wanted to skimp on the more expensive ingredients. I didn’t finish it because I came to “Affinity Fish” to eat expensive fish. I certainly got the “expensive” part down. And there was some fish, but it was just not nearly enough to justify the price. $400+ and me and my partner (2 average sized women) were still hungry. That’s almost half a grand. We have gone to comparably priced omakases before and walked away stuffed! I don’t know how a fully grown man and woman or two fully grown men could get full off of this if we couldn’t. We went and got some cheap sushi after the meal to fill ourselves up.
Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. From start to finish, everything was executed with precision, care, and creativity. The food was phenomenal—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor.
The service was impeccable, with every detail carefully considered. The little touches, like the fish-shaped butter and maple leaf-shaped carrots, showcased their dedication to the experience. We went for the caviar omakase menu, and each course somehow outdid the last.
Everything felt thoughtful and well-executed, making for an exceptional dining experience. I’ll definitely be back.
Brilliant omakase
Yet another wonderful experience at Affinity Fish, this time for the omakase menu. Excellent service and delicious, unique food prepared with such intentionality. One of our favourite spots in the city and one that we have recommended time and time again to friends and family.

Really nice lunch, miso soup was great.
Great & unique dining experience! They really put a lot of thought and care into their work and it shows in their dishes. Would definitely recommend checking out one of their various event dinners for a special occasion.
Wow. Amazing, you will be blown away out of the wata ;)
We had an incredible experience at Affinity Fish. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, showcasing creativity and high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share insights about the dishes and fish used. The sake was excellent, and the intimate atmosphere made the meal even more special. We loved how they combine traditional Japanese techniques with their own unique spin. With a menu that changes regularly to highlight fresh, local ingredients, it’s a dining experience worth returning for. Highly recommend!
I visited with a friend for the omakase sushi dinner last week and we had a great time! The service was top-tier, getting to watch our food be prepared was such a treat, and the quality of the fish was astounding. Everything was so delicately and intentionally prepared and it was overall a really special evening enjoying fantastic food and drinks. We tried the burdock beer and a light and crispy white wine (I forget the name). Both were perfect with dinner!
