I don't know the first thing about Ethiopian food, but my wife likes it and enjoyed this. The server - who I think might be the owner - was fantastic, very friendly. The restaurant was well maintained (that used to be a given at restaurants, much less so these days), clean, and had a very family friendly vibe.
Will definitely go again!

One of the worst place to try Ethiopian food. The food was kinda ok. But the owner/ manager was very rude being disrespectful to delivery drivers and customers, very quiet and dead atmosphere. I will not come back for sure.

Such a perfect place to grab dinner and go on a date! We got the 2 Person Meat Platter to share and it was so filling and delicious... We also got some Tej (Honey Wine) and cake on the house, I think because it was Valentine's Day. It was so lovely and service was so warm and welcoming ❤️ Highly recommend this Toronto staple!

One of my favourite restaurants in the city. Everything I've ever ordered here is delicious. The spices are unique, it's tasty as hell and the portions are great. Excellent meat dishes and good vegetarian option, too. If you've never had Ethiopian food, TREAT YOURSELF. You need it in your life, trust me.

I'm a huge fan of the vegetarian platter at Ethiopian restaurants, and I've had Ethiopian food in 3 countries (at least 5 restaurants in Toronto alone). The food was okay, not particularly good when it comes to Ethiopian food. Gomen wat can be spinach but it's usually collard greens or kale, which have way better texture, and the spinach was too mushy here. It says their tikil gomen is in a turmeric sauce, but there was too much curry (leaf) powder I think. Overall, they were not good at highlighting the natural delicious flavours of each vegetable.
The owner came to say we were eating it wrong and tried to show us how to pick up more food with the injera. Then she put it into my mouth and repeated it with my friend. I know gursha is a cultural tradition where you feed your friends and family as a demonstration of love and respect but we barely knew her for like 20 minutes. IMO it's a bit weird and pushy to do it here without making sure the guest actually wants this to happen.

Cannot recommend enough!! This is my first time having Ethiopian food and all I can say is wow! The food is full of flavour and spice and is a very good portion for what you pay. I had the meat and veggie combo and it was both delicious and filling. However the main thing that stood out to me was the service. I was there by myself as I was on a business trip and the lady (I wish I got her name) was just a delight. She was incredibly kind and you can tell she genuinely cares about her customers and their experience. Please go and give this restaurant and their staff some love! 20/10
