My favorite restaurant! Mary is the kindest and most welcoming presence. The food is all very fresh, fulfilling, and I always leave with a full stomach and a bit of leftover injera! Value is great, it's a sit down restaurant with beautiful decor and the way the individual meals are plated and served is so special. If you're unsure what to get, the veggie platter (for 1, 2, or many more) is great, and so is the meat & veggie platter.
One small note, I wish the bathroom was a bit bigger. Since it's a meal you eat with your hands, making a trip down stairs to wash up before and after eating is not the most accessible for some disabled folks, and it's a bit small in the bathroom. Honestly think that just having more napkins and water at tables would be a nice improvement. The lentil soup is warming, my fav meal is the Shiro Wat, and I wish they were open earlier in the day since I'd love to try the coffee ceremony, but can't have caffeine too late. All in all, this is the #1 spot I love taking friends, family, and would even make a great date night. Love Mary and her team, and grateful for African Palace

It was my kids first time trying Ethiopian food and they loved it. The lady who I think is the owner is beyond welcoming. Excellent food and the best service. We got a veggie platter, beef and lamb and spinach.

I don't know the first thing about Ethiopian food, but my wife likes it and enjoyed this. The server - who I think might be the owner - was fantastic, very friendly. The restaurant was well maintained (that used to be a given at restaurants, much less so these days), clean, and had a very family friendly vibe.
